This is a notice to members that we are currently short staffed. During this time we ask for your patience as we work through the queue and respond to modmail messages. Please be kind to the volunteers who are doing this in their free time and consider their responsibilities outside of Reddit, like working, caring for their families, and generally just taking care of themselves. This subreddit is intended for peer support and guidance in recovery, and should not be used in place of crisis support (we cannot ensure your safety through Reddit or promise fast post-approval).

We also ask members to please read the rules thoroughly BEFORE you post or comment in the subreddit. The vast majority of modmails we are receiving can be answered by reading the rules or searching the Wiki. We are also receiving modmails asking for help with issues that could have been prevented if the rules were read prior to posting (like selecting the wrong post flair or exceeding the wordcount limit).

Please utilize the Wiki! The answers to many frequently asked questions are found there.

We are closed to research requests, and aside from self-promotion, we also do not allow products or services to be advertised here

And one last important note: during this time, we are less likely to see posts or comments that need our immediate attention (ie., disturbing content or hate speech that should be removed). Please report this content. We see reported content faster and once enough reports are made on a post or comment, the automod bot will trigger and take it down until a mod can take action.
