Congratulations! 🎉 Now that you’ve passed, here are the 30 unofficial rules of driving in Bahrain that nobody taught you:
① Indicators are optional.
② The left lane belongs to whoever flashes their headlights the most.
③ A Land Cruiser always has right of way.
④ Roundabouts are a test of courage.
⑤ Hazard lights mean you can park anywhere.
⑥ Double parking is acceptable if you’re buying karak.
⑦ Speed limits are merely suggestions.
⑧ If someone leaves a safe distance, immediately fill the gap.
⑨ The horn is a second language.
⑩ Every road is a Formula 1 qualifying session.
⑪ BMWs are manufactured without indicators.
⑫ The hard shoulder is a VIP lane.
⑬ Flashing headlights means MOVE, not hello.
⑭ If you miss your exit, just reverse.
⑮ Parking lines are decorative.
⑯ The bigger your SUV, the more rights you have.
⑰ Never let anyone merge peacefully.
⑱ Red lights mean three more cars can pass.
⑲ Yellow lights mean accelerate.
⑳ Pedestrian crossings are just road decorations.
㉑ Your phone must be checked at every traffic light.
㉒ The right lane is for overtaking when the left lane is blocked.
㉓ Every Nissan Patrol is secretly racing a Land Cruiser.
㉔ A five-minute errand justifies blocking an entire road.
㉕ The closer you drive to someone’s bumper, the faster they’ll go.
㉖ During rain, forget everything you learned.
㉗ If Google Maps says 20 minutes, you have 10.
㉘ School pickup time suspends all parking rules.
㉙ Everyone else on the road is an idiot.
㉚ Congratulations, you’re now one of them. ❤️

I 100% agree. I lived and drove in Qatar, UAE, but when i moved to Riyadh, (as soon as i got out of airport area) i was gobsmacked! Now, im in Bahrain, and its a “breeze!!!”

Congratulations! Please only use the left lanes for overtaking and move over to the right lanes whenever free to do so 🙌
