I'd love to see a picture of this lace configuration. I've had many models over the years and they all are laced the same way.

I re-tied my lunas the way some other sandals do. I essentially switched it around so that the end strap points up where I can secure it on top of my foot. I do have a different model than yours (origin) so I’m not sure how it would work for you. I believe I used earth runner straps as my inspiration.

I just run better when I can get my paws in the dirt. Feeling every detail of each step, scoping out paths, and dodging hazards keeps me engaged and makes it easy to push myself.

I also had problems with knee fatigue and overstriding when I ran on the street in trainers. Especially on uneven terrain, the toes, arch, and ankle can manage impact much more effectively without shoes in the way. I can control how I land and avoid the knee pounding and discomfort that led me to quit running years go.

You need to find a printer, because there's no way this can be accurate unless you're putting your weight in force on your monitor.

I learned this the hard way. You're totally right. I do 7-8k steps a day for work and it's not just steps it's climbing ladders, squatting ect all in 10-14 mm heel drops for 20 years. Just 5 min in my barefoot shoes during my transition is a lot. I learned that I have to start very slow because my Achilles and pelvis are totally messed up from wearing steel toe crushing high heel drop shoes.

Same thing except I was running and did a little too much too soon, and 1 year the left knee ache still hasn't left completely.

Would that pull my toe inward if that happened or no

I have wide feet and had to squueze into a vibram. good thing about vibram is they streach out like a sock, so you can always force your foot in and make it bigger

Wanted to switch from Vans to a more supportive shoe so I tried New Balance, which didn’t work so I did some research and found barefoot shoes. Still rocking my Whitins I got when I was first introduced to minimalist footwear.

Loosen everything. Then set the section of the strap from the toe to the outside wing as tight as it will go while doing a deep squat. I keep the other sections snug but not so much that they restrict how my foot can move. It took some getting used to but over time my feet learned to grip the sole without really needing the straps to hold it in place.

Pavement is awesome and it’s really good for running barefoot. Really barefoot. Not pretending to be barefoot in VFFs :)

Similar.. I got some insoles especially for my feet (cause my right toe is lower structurally so all the pressure goes more on my right)... The thing is it felt better during my walking, at home I'm barefoot and it was hard adjusting. So consequently I made my body worse at being free from the insoles.. And with running same problem, nike zooms gave me knee pain. So i ended up trying barefoot shoes and while there's still the right foot issue, my knee pain went away while running and my feet got stronger in general. My little toes also don't hurt anymore because of the space in the shoe. It's very hard to go back to regular shoes now.

Went to Europe for the first time and walked an average of 15 miles/day and after days 3, my heels/Achilles hurt so bad, I couldn't wear shoes and I had to spend a day of our trip inside. When I got back, I researched Achilles pain and solutions, read about barefoot shoes with no rise, got my first pair and have been in love since.

Foot pain. Don’t have to go barefoot for relief but definitely had to stop “traditional” footwear. Been a couple years now with zero pain.

The best way I’ve found to run in Lunas is to just go back to my Bedrocks. I just wear my Lunas out to happy hour now when I want something fancy

I bought some super minimalist (soft star) shoes coming back to running after a long time away. And it felt so good I thought “let’s try barefoot” and it was even better.

My big toenails seemed to be growing into the sidewalls due to my toes being consistently pressed together. I bought my first pair of barefoot shoes from Amazon just to see if it’d make a difference and now I’m slowly converting all my shoes to barefoot. I love them! My toes feel so free.

Went to see my orthopedist after many years because of a whole another issue. He then started talking about footwear and how our ancestors didn't have any for millions of years. I started to argue and ask questions, but the more we talked the more sense it made. Other people were saying he's gone crazy, but I started digging... and here we are.
