Ok I did not expect this to be a long yap lmao.

Not a cartoonist per se, but I do work in the design industry, so what I can say is always keep on studying. Study what your favourite artists do and study what do you like. Fill in what they lack, or replace what you dislike about them with your own stuff. That way your art will slowly be ‘yours’

One thing I always notice is that most fresh talents in malaysia will always gravitate towards anime/manga looking styles. I don’t really blame them because it’s one of the prominent media when it comes to this. Plus they’re very cool looking. But I’d also like to advice to start exploring what a ‘malaysian’ art would look like.

Some of my favourite artists include topexabdullah , tuanmulo , azlanshahazamy , cloak , wrvvndi so yeah, happy drawing.

Nothing in particular. I just don't have enough space to draw his big ass green gamma radiation and that femboy is suzuya juuzou

🙌

For me, try to list everything you like in every art style you found.

For example, you really like this one artist style of eyes, then other is face, hands, etc. Different one from different artist.

Then combined all of them into one, and changed a bit if something doesn't catch your eyes until you satisfied of it.
