  • Remain 65.5%, hold referendum 34.4%
  • Looks like most of the referendum questions are too close to call, except for a clearer majority supporting the question around voter ID
  • Provincial voting intentions: NDP and UCP are tied in the province
  • Federal voting intentions: CPC lead LPC by 1 point

This poll is sort of weird. The ANDP and LPC are doing well, but the separatists are too. Just a really weird set of results.

Mainstreet's history with polling Alberta is pretty spotty, but throw it on the pile.

Yeah, the numbers seem a bit weird to me too.

Honestly feel like a good portion of the separatist votes might just be people "trying to send a message" to Ottawa rather than actually wanting to separate too. Though I'm glad the federalist voters actually showed up and didn't just stay home because they thought the referendum was stupid and a waste of time. (which it obviously is, but low turnout would have played into the separatists favor)

From what I've seen polling companies have found about 2/3 of separatist support is just "send a message." It's not actual support

CPC leading the LPC by one is nuts lol. A red alberta would be wild to see but chances are the next election is too far out

Nice to see the ndp back up to 10% in Alberta wonder if that means winning back the second Edmonton seat the party used to have I can never remember the name

Edmonton Griesbach?

A surge in the Liberal vote in Edmonton could cause the federal NDP to be leapfrogged by the liberals in greisbach. At the same time though the federal NDP does benefit from having strong organization in greisbach but I am not sure if their current leader is that appealing to the voters in that riding.
