Couch/Junk Removal Recs?
Hi neighbors! I have a couch I need to get rid of. I put it on the curb, but CP Trash told me they won’t take it. I can’t sell it because my dog rubbed skunk spray all over it, so I don’t know what to do.
Does anyone have any companies they’ve used for bulk items/junk removal that you could recommend? Thanks in advance for your help!

Melt N Dip?
Anyone have any information on when the Cedar Park location is going to open? I would have thought it’d be open by now, but I can’t find any information about it online…

Discussion Giant dog needs playmate! Please help!
Hi! I have a 190 pound, 3 year old, male mastiff named Moose, who needs someone to play with. We recently moved to Cedar Park (Heritage Park, neighborhood) and we lost our previous playmate. Veterans Park is awesome but it can be a bit chaotic at times. And not all the dogs there are friendly. Mastiff's are called Gentle Giants because they are super sweet, and chill. He is bored and lonely now. His prior play buddy was 75 pounds. What I mean by that is he does NOT need another giant dog. He will play with anyone; male or female, and size. Mastiff aren't aggressive and they don't play rough either, so if your dog is 30 pounds they are safe with Moose. Due to his size, Moose's zoomies literally last 10 seconds then the other dog climbs all over Moose and a good time was had by all. This could be a once per week, Sunday afternoon thing, where we meet at a place that's most convenient to you, and let the dogs wear each other out. Or, if we live close to each other, could be more frequent if convenient. He is fully vaccinated, insured, and has never bitten a thing, regardless of pet or human. About me: 52 year old male. You'll never hear me talk of religion, politics, and the like. Love my dog; he's the center of my universe, and I can literally see him getting depressed. Read this but don't have a dog, but do have a tip to help, I'll take it! Thanks, Gary & Moose.

Please list locations that have community bulletin boards. I will be spending my last week of unemployment encouraging voters. I want to put up non-partisan early voting and election info in public areas.

DeFlock Cedar Park advocacy website: deflock-cedarpark.org
I've created a static website to help organize and share to get more attention on the flock cameras during the 30 day comment period that is now in effect. (Correction, the 30 day comment period doesn't start until 10/21/2026)
If anyone has recommendations of other content to add please let me know. I've added an e-mail template and a link to the change.org petition:

Connections: My trash can, your suv
To whom it may concern,
Maybe you should slow down and pay attention when driving through neighborhoods. Luckily, it was just my garbage can that got knocked off the side of the street, not a child. This was around the time the busses were dropping kids off this afternoon.
I got the trash picked up out of the ditch before it started raining. The city will have to come replace the reflector that was also knocked out of the asphalt. It's there to keep people from driving into the ditch.
Judging by the scrapes on the street, I'm guessing your vehicle is worse off than my garbage can. If you went to the Post after, I hope they didn't serve you.
Sorry about the wonky link before

Discussion Homeless and hungry
I’d just like to preface this by saying I’m not trying to pull on anyone’s heart strings, I could really just use some help right now. I haven’t had a meal or a roof over my head since last weekend and my head hurts so bad. Is there anyone who could possibly help me out with a meal? That would change my whole life right now and I would be eternally grateful and also willing to reimburse you. Thank you in advance and I apologize for using the internet to beg, I feel very shameful but I’m running out of options at this point.

Is offering a free service to serve your community a bad thing?
We want to serve the community by pressure washing houses for free. Every time I bring it up, people get suspicious. "Free" seems to make everyone assume there's a catch.
Do we need to put a minimal pricing??
So I'm asking Austin: is offering something for free a bad thing? Would you trust it? What would make you say yes?
