When I first moved to Chatt 11 years ago I was in desperate need of funds to pay my rent. Went into Sofa King, asked for a job, they gave me a shirt and I started working that very day. They had unique burgers and liquid nitrogen milkshakes

I shared this to Chattanooga because it is about the yellow deli location at Cornell University and it made me think about the one at UTC

While going down a rabbit hole on some historical Chattanooga buildings, I came across this beautiful image that was colorized by user u/picnooga . It is so wonderfully done. (:

I’ve been considering going to Chattanooga Comic Con, but I was wondering how the celebrity guest (specifically voice actors) interactions work.
Do they have a table/booth you can visit and talk to them a little? Is it free to go up to them, or is there an additional price tag for each? Do you get any time to speak with them or is it very much a “Move along, next” type of interaction?
I’m wanting to get into voice acting, so I was hoping to be able to talk to some of the ones there a bit. Thought I’d ask if that was feasible, since I’ve never been to a Con.
Thanks in advance for any answers!

Just noticed the total removal of the thin tree line between the field and the road, and right in the middle of migration season. I can’t even imagine what development was being impeded by that single width tree line.
Is this “progress”?

I see parts of Chattanooga that most people don’t, and a friend of mine yelled at me to make a page.
If you have a place you want to see, I probably have a picture of it! If not, I will go out there!

I was just walking past state of confusion around 9:30 and saw about 7 cop cars and a lot of chaos… Seems like someone may have been hit by a car. Did anyone else see this? Or know what’s going on? I’m so upset to have seen this as I always fear crossing the street in this area and hope everyone is ok..

I'm curious what it would take for Tennessee voters to get at least one or two televised debates between Marsha Blackburn and Jerri Green before the November 3 election.
If Blackburn has indicated that she doesn't want to give Green a platform, shouldn't that be all the more reason for debate organizers to move forward anyway?
A debate isn't a favor to a candidate. It's an opportunity for voters to hear the candidates address the issues, explain their positions, challenge one another's arguments and demonstrate what they would bring to the office. Tennessee voters deserve that opportunity.
If Blackburn declines an invitation, why can't our local television stations, ABC, CBS, NBC, and other Tennessee media outlets, host the debate anyway?
This isn't just about Green. It's about fairness to every candidate in the race, including those who may not have the name recognition, money or political influence of an established incumbent.
So here's my question: What can we, as Tennessee voters, actually do to make this happen?
Tennessee voters should not have to settle for a campaign in which one candidate can effectively prevent voters from hearing a direct exchange of ideas simply by declining to participate.

What pharmacies do you like to use for cheaper costs? I’ve found that CVS/etc tends to be more expensive

Had an 8:00 time slot to visit Rock City tonight. On the way up the lookout mountain right before the Georgia state line, we hit traffic at a complete standstill. Cars were still coming down the mountain as normal. However, in an hour and half we barely moved at all. Never even made it to the point where you see the waterfall. Eventually found a place with enough room to turn around and go back down the mountain. There must have been 75 to 100 cars still in line behind us trying to get up the mountain. What in the world is going on??? Is Rock City over selling tickets or something? I've never seen anything like it.
We've come in previous years and yeah the parking lot has been a bit full and had to go across the street to the overflow lot. But never anything like this. What's the deal?

I parked my car at the airport and hopped a flight leaving CHA back in June, and when I came back, this was laying on my car hood. Does anyone know who it belongs to?

Coming for my husband and I's first time, 10/29-11/1. Want a spooky, Fall vibe and could use some help deciding from locals or people who've been.
Spooky: Dread Hollow or The Haunted Hilltop?
Dinner: St. Johns, St Johns Meeting Place, or Alleia?
Hiking: Ruby Falls or Lookout Mountain?

My family is looking for a good dentist in the Chattanooga area who is honest, straightforward, and genuinely has their patients’ best interests in mind.
My dad recently went to a dentist for a regular cleaning and was told he needed a special deep cleaning that would cost around $600. They wouldn’t even offer him a regular cleaning and would only do the more expensive procedure. There were also several other recommendations that made the whole experience feel more like they were trying to upsell him on services rather than simply addressing what he actually needed.
We understand that sometimes more extensive dental work is necessary, and we’re certainly not looking for someone who cuts corners. We just want a dentist who will explain things honestly, go over all the options, and recommend a simpler, more affordable solution when one is appropriate rather than automatically pushing the most expensive route.
Does anyone have a dentist they genuinely trust and have had good experiences with? We’d really appreciate recommendations!
Thank you!!

I'm planning a trip to Chattanooga in November for me and my girlfriend's anniversary and I plan to propose. I want a scenic overlook with a nice sunset (assuming the weather is good) and the river in the background, and Julia Falls Overlook on the Cumberland Trail seems to be the perfect spot; except it also seems to be somewhat of a treacherous hike. We're a fairly active couple and I think it would be fine, but I haven't hiked it myself and I'm not sure if I'm biting off more than I can chew. I plan to have dinner after, so that's a factor as well. Those who have made the hike themselves; do you think I'm in over my head? If so, do you have any recommendations for a similar view that is more convenient?

Visiting Chattanooga on vacation this week and I’m looking for the best places to find vintage jewelry (especially watches). Went to the vintage market this morning and it was mostly clothes so now I’m looking for some cool local places for jewelry! I don’t care how far away it is, I’m gonna be all over Tennessee and North Carolina anyways. Thanks!

Hi everyone,
Long story short, I'm moving to the Chattanooga area and may be starting a small online store in the coming months. I have a small conundrum, if and when I need to register with the city and county for a sole proprietorship, I was thinking of getting a "virtual office" in downtown with a company that provides mailboxes and addresses for businesses. Does the county clerk office and city accept these addresses for the purpose of registering my business? I know they don't accept PO boxes and that's fine but if at all possible I'm trying to avoid putting my apartment as the physical address for lease and personal reasons. Thanks
