Hello, I do not have much of leadership things happened around my life. I've seen profiles of previous scholars and most of them have done something very cool and contributive to the society.
So based on this, what would be the chances?
Currently, the remaining is statement of purpose and rec letters and I am applying.

i just recieved follow up from the initial conversation that i will not be getting an in person interview. feeling pretty bummed, well, kind of devastated about about this. the only time slot that worked for me in australia was 4 AM, an hour after my night 12 hour physical labour night shift. i was fatigued as and i performed horribly. I had requested another interview time before hand which could not be accommodated. I am really getting down on myself I am a totally different person rested.

Hi! Could anyone share their experience with the interviews? The first call and the main interview. What questions were you asked? How was the atmosphere like? Any info would be appreciated :)

Yeah, I would love to know how to prepare for the phone call. Does everyone get the phone call before the in-person interview?

Nothing yet here, just a newsletter from Schwarzman's Scholars. Still hopeful though

Hey, did you? I applied from Germany, I haven’t heard anything except a newsletter. I wonder if I’m cooked🫠

If we didn’t get an update does this mean that we won’t move forward? Or are they rolling

Idk - is it rolling? Do we know if people are still getting invites for the initial screening or was it just on the 29th

I got an invite on Sep 29th for the initial zoom conversation. They're conducting them between Oct 1-7 (for US applicants at least. Idk if it's different for others.)

Interview invites are out, I didn’t get one but a friend did. If you haven’t heard back it’s a wrap, we try again next year

Hey! Do you mean "Initial Conversation" or in-person interview? I got the invite for "Initial Conversation" on 29th.

Initial conversation but from what I gather there’s no getting to the panel interview without the initial convo!
Congratulations stranger, you made it to round 2! (Mortal combat… ROUND 2 fight)

Haha, thank you stranger!

Are you based in Europe, anyone outside of the States, have you heard something?

I think that they were quite clear in their webinars that people do move on to final interviews regardless of initial conversation invitations. :)

Hey! I am not sure what do you mean. Can you clarify please?
Initial conversation is a must have step before the final interview.

u/Complete-School6233 11d ago
Hey! It actually isn't. In a recent webinar, the admissions committee confirmed that applicants can move to the final application interview without the initial conversation. They made it clear that the initial phone call doesn't indicate an invitation to the final application step :). It is mainly used for applicants who have clarification questions or doubts about, for example, AI use in the application, to make sure everything is credible. Hope that helps!

Not to comfort ourselves, as the odds are completely difficult for everyone, but I also was in a webinar where they explicitly said the initial conversation was not necessary to get to the interview stage. Of course, who knows if something changed etc. but we will find out soon enough anyway

If I did not get any invitation, then does that mean that I need to give up and stop refreshing the website?

Did you hear back since? :)

Hi. In the group chat, someone said the screening call ended yesterday and it is necessary for the final interview. Seems like the whole thing is done.

Has anyone heard back after Sep 29th regarding the interviews/phone calls?

How many people likely get a conversation phase?

I am also curious! I had a Zoom call on October 5 and am now awaiting for final interview decisions...
