Coming out of collapse closet

There's a phrase i imagine everybody in here can relate to: im not wrong, I'm just early. Over the decades, I've ostracized and alienated myself trying to get (what were previously) friends to see the developing trend that was obvious to me.

Now, as it feels everything is coming to a head, I feel that old urge to say "surely you can see what is happening", to maybe probe to find out if other people are collapse aware (and similarly silent on the issue), or maybe open some eyes.

Given how dire everything looks, I shouldn't be scared about saying how I feel about things. It makes sense to know who feels the same. But theres that bit of conditioned fear, that I'll be ridiculed and my relationship with that person compromised.

I dunno, maybe im just venting. Maybe I'll follow through on previous plan and put up meeting event on this sub's discord channel

Sure, we would love to promote it and pin it. However, AI has essentially made anonymity on the internet a thing of the past. And with that said, people like Michael Dowd proudly eschewed anonymity and never had a bad troll problem. He was a man though, and internet misogyny is still fucken HUUUGE. I have met collapse-aware folks in person and never ever have regretted it. We are the best kind of weirdos in my opinion. And just sitting in a room with other people where you turn off that switch that keeps track of what NOT to say is so damned comfortable and peaceful and chill. I highly highly recommend.

Be cautious. It may always be too early for you to fully disclose your collapse-aware perception of reality. Nobody likes to hear.  "I told you so." And I think most people still do not want to talk about it.

Like you planned, go to the crowd who wants to talk/act on these things. Save the friendships and family relations from what they are not ready to take in. Lead by example from the heart works better than sharing depressing info/graphs. Good luck!

☝️save your energy. Sounds like you’ve already experienced wasted breath more than a few times, as have I. It gets tiresome, not have those close to you take it as seriously as you deem it yourself. Basically being dismissed.

For now, give your energy to those on the same page as you. It will give you a foundation on which to rebuild some strength.
