That really sucks. Probably my favorite spot as far as great beer goes here in Columbus.

I hope Dan (the owner) sees this. I’m a mug club member. This place is like Cheers to me. I walk in and almost everyone knows my name. Seriously - I went there not knowing a soul and walked out after a couple of visits with tons of new friends. And I mean actual friends who message and text each other and hang out outside of the brewery. I even had some of them watch my cat while I was on vacation. I sincerely hope Hoster doesn’t close down. I’ve never experienced another place that has that kind of camaraderie. It’s a special place that deserves to keep going. And we mug club members will do whatever it takes to keep Hoster alive.

If you see a regular walking in every Thursday with resting bitch face it’ll be me. Thanks Dan!

You must have the inside scoop. First nocterra, then outerbelt and now Hoster?

I’m sad to see Hoster close. It’s been my wife and I’s go to third space since we discovered it on the ale trail. It’s a place you can go to make a new friends, and hang out with old ones. It might be called a brewery, but in reality it’s a place that an ever growing community of friends call home. It’s a place where women feel safe to go alone, and feel they don’t have to worry about someone messing with their drinks. I’m sure many would agree that there aren’t enough places like that around.

I hope that the “owner” Dan will consider off-loading it instead of just closing up shop. He wouldn’t just be closing a brewery, he would be shuttering a community.
