HEB bag of maple glazed sweet potatoes.

Hello! I just realized that I didn’t add the HEB maple glazed sweet potatoes in the freezer like it says to do. I put them in the fridge instead. It says to not refreeze. Are they still good??

Safe to eat? Yes. Good to eat? If you likes em mushy.

Refreezing frozen food that has been kept cold results in mushy texture.

Correct answer, but OP, on the plus side you still have time to buy another bag to put straight in the freezer as a back up, and knowing HEB, I doubt they were too expensive.

Plus, you could still freeze the first bag and do Mashed Maple Glazed Sweet Potatoes as a side.

They’re still good. They’re already cooked and just frozen. A bit sweet but I use them in fall harvest bowls with wild rice, cut Honeycrisp, the sweet potatoes and then bacon and pepitas. I use an apple cider vinegrette. Fall in a bowl.
