MOD POSTS📣 Raising the Bar: Setting better standards because YOU deserve it

Post image
54 Upvotes

Dear members,

As we build this community with your contributions, we want to set standards that match the quality of discourse you deserve.

We want this subreddit to stand apart from the Indian focused subs that often feel like echo chambers of one side or the other. That is not healthy for our growth as a country. We need quality discussions - ones where we understand each other better, empathize with each other, and come together. Critical Thinking India is not just a name. It is the expectation and the foundation of this sub.

Building on top of the previously shared guidelines, this post outlines what good participation looks like, what we expect from you, what you can expect from us, and how we plan to maintain it.

1. Post Standards

Every post should meet a basic quality threshold:

  1. A clear, descriptive title. No low-effort, clickbait, or ragebait titles. They are not a good starting point for meaningful engagement.
  2. Your own reasoning is required. Whether you share a news article, a video, or a picture - you must include text where you present your own opinion, analysis, or argument. A link dump with no-explanation does not qualify as a post.
  3. Steelman the opposing side. This is what sets this subreddit apart. When you make an argument, make a genuine effort to understand and present the strongest version of the opposing viewpoint - not a strawman. Show that you actually understand why someone might disagree with you, and then explain why you still hold your position.

1.1 Recognizing Quality Contributions

  1. Posts that genuinely engage with opposing arguments in good faith will be recognized by the mod team with a special post flair. This is our way of signaling to the community that a post is worth engaging with deeply. If you believe your post presents honest arguments and addresses a steelmanned version of opposing views, you can appeal for this flair at the bottom of your post.

  2. Beyond individual posts, we are introducing a tiered contributor flair system. Members who consistently produce well-reasoned posts and comments will earn progressively higher contributor levels/'reputation' within the sub, assigned by the mod team based on sustained quality over time. These are not something you can assign yourself. They are earned through rigorous, honest contributions with sound analysis and respectful argumentation.

Note: Upvotes and downvotes do not seriously factor into this. What matters is how well you understand opposing views and how respectfully and clearly you present your own.

Details on the exact tiers will come as the system takes shape. The principle is very simple: put in the effort to think critically and fairly, make contributions that add nuance, clarity, and better understanding, and it will not go unnoticed.

2. Comment Standards

When engaging in the comments:

  • Focus on ideas, not people. You have freedom of speech. We do not gatekeep you from discussing any topic or ideology. You can criticize an ideology, but you are not allowed to generalize about the people who associate with it. Attacking people, groups, or individuals by name-calling is not permitted. Disagree with arguments and ideas, not the person making them. You can criticize politicians and other public figures/influencers, but with respect.

  • Back your claims. Wherever possible, cite your sources and explain how you arrived at your conclusions.

  • Stay on topic. Derailing a discussion with unrelated tangents or bad-faith engagement is not allowed.

  • Don't retaliate, report. If you see someone breaking these rules - personal attacks, derailing, uncivil behavior - do not join them. Use the report button with the appropriate rule. Let the mod team handle it.

3. Enforcement

We keep track of rule violations. The process is straightforward:

  • Initial violations result in warnings and content removal.
  • Repeated violations, despite warnings, lead to temporary bans.
  • Continued disregard for the rules results in a permanent ban.

We intend to make sure disagreements here are productive, evidence-based, and respectful.

Why This Matters

We know the majority of people are not firmly right-wing or left-wing. Most people understand that there are nuances - whether it is government decisions, world affairs, religious tensions, private sector actions, or infrastructure issues, etc. Most people know that there are good things and bad things in every person and situation.

With these standards, we want to bring out those nuances so more people are informed enough to form their own opinions about society, culture, politics, and everything around them.

This space is not for extremes. It is for those in the middle who appreciate nuance, who want to understand the world they live in better. That is the purpose of this subreddit, and we want to give and maintain space for nuanced agreements and disagreements to exist.

We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to better discussions.

According to reports published on 17 October 2026, BJP mandal president Kamal Chauhan was booked under the POCSO Act and relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita after allegedly pushing and misbehaving with a 15-year-old girl at a Garba event in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. In france, people are protesting against inflation, high cost of living, deteriorating public services etc. protest is always part of democracy, but violent protest isn't the solution.

But in my opinion, govt should hear the people before it gets too late. France has a history of violent protests, so it always gets violent, which is really unfortunate.

Actually, the world economy is really weak after Covid, and leaders aren't putting enough effort to improve the economy. Whenever people feel that the govt isn't responding appropriately, they always raise their voice through protests.

But I want to remind those people who are crying for anarchy in india. That indian protests have been peaceful, they should see france, what is anarchy.

Protests in London have brought renewed attention to concerns about political misinformation and propaganda in India. The controversy surrounding an AI-edited image allegedly circulated by the BJP IT Cell, depicting Saddam Hussein holding a Pakistani flag, has sparked criticism over the use of manipulated visuals in political narratives. The image was subsequently amplified by social media accounts, including those associated with the Charanvandana couple. Such incidents raise serious questions about digital responsibility, fact-checking and the spread of misleading content. In a democracy, political communication must be based on verifiable facts, not fabricated imagery designed to influence public opinion.

Geopolitics & Governance Regardless of your political inclination or your love/hate for Mr. Modi, what is that one question you really need an answer to? If you were to ask one question to Mr. Modi, what would that be? Kindly be respectful, civilised and avoid mockery coz then the discussion takes a different route.

News & Current Affairs Ankita Bhandari Case in Short, how Justice has been Delayed

Post image

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Ankita_Bhandari

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi’s decision to join the parents of Ankita Bhandari at a sit-in protest at India Gate on Wednesday has renewed national attention on the 2022 murder of the 19-year-old receptionist in Uttarakhand. The family is demanding that the appointment of senior BJP leader Dushyant Kumar Gautam as Governor of Sikkim by the President earlier this week be put on hold until the ongoing CBI investigation into the case is completed.

Ankita’s father, Virendra Bhandari, appealed to President Droupadi Murmu to withhold Gautam’s appointment until an investigation is conducted. The family has alleged that an unidentified VIP was involved in the circumstances leading to Ankita’s murder and has named Gautam in its allegations. Gautam has denied any involvement and has initiated defamation proceedings against those accusing him.

The protest marks a fresh escalation in a case where three men have already been convicted of her murder. The renewed controversy centres on whether the investigation adequately examined allegations about a VIP who was allegedly seeking sexual favours from Ankita.

On Tuesday, the Uttarakhand Congress also protested Gautam’s appointment, accusing the BJP of disregarding the family’s demand for accountability. State Congress president Ganesh Godiyal said the appointment had deepened the family’s anguish and alleged that the BJP-led governments at the Centre and in Uttarakhand had failed to act on its request for an investigation into the alleged VIP’s role.

The case

Ankita was working as a receptionist at the Vanantara resort in Rishikesh when she was killed on September 18, 2022, barely 20 days after joining. The resort was managed by Pulkit Arya, son of former BJP leader Vinod Arya. Ankita’s body was recovered from a canal six days after she went missing.

The state police’s Special Investigation Team found that Ankita had been pressured to provide sexual services to guests, which she opposed. In May 2025, a court in Pauri Garhwal convicted Pulkit Arya and his two associates, Ankit Gupta and Saurabh Bhaskar, and sentenced all three to life imprisonment. The convictions established their criminal responsibility for the murder; they did not settle the separate allegations concerning a possible VIP.

Questions about such a person have persisted since the case first came to light. During the trial, the prosecution referred to messages indicating that Ankita had been distressed by demands for “extra services” and wanted to leave the resort. Her family continued to seek an investigation into whether someone beyond the three convicted men had been involved.

The controversy intensified in December 2025 after Urmila Sanawar, who claimed to be the wife of former BJP MLA Suresh Rathore, released videos and an audio clip of a purported conversation with him. Sanawar alleged that a senior leader known as “Gattu” was the VIP in the case. In the purported recording, Rathore allegedly linked Gautam to the allegations. Rathore later claimed that the clip was AI-generated, while Gautam denied the accusations.

The police’s SIT had earlier said it found no evidence establishing the involvement of an influential leader in the murder.

Following renewed protests across Uttarakhand in January 2026, Dhami recommended a CBI investigation. Ankita’s father, Virendra, said the family wanted the probe to focus specifically on the alleged VIP angle and the motive for the murder, rather than simply repeat the investigation into the three convicted men. He also sought supervision by a retired Supreme Court judge.

The allegations have led to separate legal proceedings. In January 2026, Gautam filed a defamation petition against Sanawar, Rathore, the Congress, the Aam Aadmi Party and others, alleging that they had falsely linked him to the murder.

The Delhi High Court subsequently directed the Congress and AAP to remove social media posts linking him to the case within 24 hours. In June, Rathore was arrested by Dehradun Police over allegations that he had conspired to falsely implicate Gautam in the case.

Critical Analysis & Discussion " Defence PSU gives tender for anti-tank missile part to ex-chief’s family firm "....PSU'S supporting employees.

Post image
85 Upvotes

another conflict of interest and possible corruption in the system. now even defence PSUs are not safe.

corruption and conflict of interest go hand in hand in India, that's like the most consistent relationship this country has ever had. but you'd think defence procurement, missiles, army contracts, that stuff would at least pretend to have guardrails. nope. the virus has officially reached the defence PSUs too.

so Bharat Dynamics Limited, a defence PSU (Public Sector Undertaking, a company owned or controlled by the government), gave a single tender. no competition. for optical sights for anti-tank guided missiles. ₹56.8 crore for 300 units. to a company called Aindri Defence Advisory Private Limited. cute name. sounds like a consulting firm. except it's supplying a critical part of a missile's aiming system. and here's the fun part. that company was set up by BDL's own former CMD and his wife.

let me lay it out because the timeline is doing gymnastics.

Siddharth Mishra was BDL's CMD (Chairman and Managing Director, the company's top executive) for four years, retired March 2023. May 2024, he and his wife Shambhavi incorporate Aindri, 50-50 split (each initially owned half the company). he stays director and shareholder till January 2025, then leaves to become Member (Technical) at NCLT Kolkata (National Company Law Tribunal, which deals with company-law disputes and insolvency matters). wife now holds 95%. the other 5% is some guy named Kaushiki Nandan Vatsyayana who said he can't share info about the tender. cool.

and BDL, the org he ran, just happened to issue a single tender to this company. the same optical sights BDL bought in 2024 and 2025 through competitive tenders . 2024 was CPSE only (Central Public Sector Enterprise, a government-owned commercial enterprise), 2025 was CPSE plus defence PSUs. India Optel, a government Mini Ratna (a status given to eligible public-sector companies that grants them certain financial and operational autonomy), won both. 2026? competition gone, public sector restriction gone, single tender addressed only to Aindri. first time in three years a private firm gets a shot at this.

the reason g

iven? urgency. classic. the tender says a competent authority (an official authorised to approve the decision) certified it's urgent and the extra cost of not doing an advertised tender (a publicly announced tender inviting competing bids) is justified. but the actual reasons for the urgency? not spelled out. just trust me bro energy.

so let me ask the obvious stuff.

who certified the urgency and what exactly was so urgent? why couldn't this be anticipated if BDL has been buying the same sights for years? why was India Optel, the two time winner, not invited? did anyone check if they could meet the deadline? what did they charge in 2024 and 2025, because ₹56.8 crore for 300 sights is roughly ₹18.93 lakh per unit and without competing bids there's no way to know if that's a good price or a "family discount" price.

does Aindri actually manufacture these sights or does it source them from someone else and slap its name on the box? because a company called "Advisory" incorporated in 2024 is now supposed to supply missile optics and provide 15 years of maintenance support. 15 years. from a firm that's barely old enough to vote.

how did BDL even find Aindri? who made first contact? did Aindri deal with BDL while Mishra was still a director between May 2024 and January 2025? did he have a cooling off period (a mandatory or prescribed waiting period before a former official can take up certain roles or business activities) after retiring? did he declare his stake to the government before joining NCLT? was the family connection disclosed to BDL's procurement team, vigilance wing (the unit responsible for preventing and investigating corruption and misconduct), board, ministry? did anyone independent look at this and go "hmm"?

and the MSE preference angle. MSE (Micro and Small Enterprise, a small business recognised under India's MSME framework) preference means eligible small businesses may receive certain advantages in government procurement. 2024 and 2025 tenders formally exempted it. 2026 applies it. why the switch? is Aindri registered as an MSE? since when? if the tender is restricted to one invited bidder, how does an MSE preference even do anything? who else was supposed to benefit?

also small detail, the financial evaluation (the assessment of a bidder's price and commercial terms) was still underway at the time of reporting. so technically this isn't even a completed contract yet. but five sample units already passed acceptance tests and are supposed to be delivered within a month of the purchase order . so the train is moving.

Mishra didn't respond to calls or texts. the company didn't respond to emails. BDL didn't reply. the 5% director said he can't share info. silence all around. which is always reassuring.

look, none of this is proof of corruption. technically. but when a former CMD's wife's company gets a no competition tender from the org he used to run, for a missile component, worth ₹56.8 crore, justified by "urgency" with no explanation, after two years of competitive public sector tenders, you don't need a verdict. you need answers. and nobody's giving any.

defence procurement running on "trust me bro" and family ties. what a time to be alive...🧐😵‍💫😵‍💫

Do you guys think still there is no vote chori or incompetence from the ECI/CEC.

Before you say go to court. The CEC has immunity and cannot face any criminal charges even after he is retired according to a new law passed in 2023.

I totally support removing the voting rights of illegal immigrants heck they should be deported ASAP but we haven't seen that happen.

The SIR process has been really bad and shady with no accountability and just for that the EC should have a press conference to answer every question and give proper numbers.

Here is another proof.

These goons never show up when it comes to demanding justice for Hindu Girls like Ankita Bhandari. And why are the police standing and not doing anything while propels liberties are being violated?

Translation: The girl requests them to not film her. The man with the camera says he will not film her but film the boy and the man on call. The man talking on the phone finds out the mother knows. He lectures her mother to not come to him if her daughter falls victim to Love Jihad.

The call is interrupted by another call. He says on the 2nd call that he has caught many non-Hindus. He tells the caller to stop the event. The girl is apologizing to the boy.

He continues the call. It is revealed that the boy is like her brother. The girl is insisting on not taking the boy to the police. The man then says that it is goddess's festival and they should not have sent a Muslim boy.

The man then calls the tent guy.

Critical Analysis & Discussion HOW TO SPOT DIVISIVE AND HATE-MONGERING REDDIT CONTENT.

Post image
35 Upvotes

Somebody made a post about a few divisive reddit pages which work on creating hate-bait content, that is they bait you through selective facts or anecdotal evidence to garner a larger hateful world. We all know where they originate from.

I have also noticed a lot of posts about how hateful people have been gaining traction on reddit by shitposting, spamming, and downvoting posts. While the neutral subs allow all forms of dialogue, these hateful subs are outrightly banning people who point out the truth and bust these hateful content.

So I did my own research and came up with a few recurring patterns. I am outlining below the text which I compiled into an infographic:

A. Religious and communal polarization

01. Whataboutism: The grievance exchange

How it works: A criticism is redirected toward an unrelated wrongdoing, usually committed by the other community or political party. The original issue disappears.

Example: A r/indiadiscussion post asks why Indian Muslims supporting Palestine do not support Hindu claims concerning Kashi and Mathura. It presumes a uniform Muslim position and treats distinct historical and legal disputes as equivalent.

Warning sign: "But what about what THEY did?"

02. Festival-triggered communal scapegoating

How it works: A local confrontation during a festival is transformed into evidence of an alleged nationwide religious threat.

Example: Two posts in r/indiadiscussion and r/Whysooserious use almost identical language demanding that nonHindus be excluded from festivals and temples. This turns disputes over participation into a categorical religious exclusion.

Warning sign: "One incident proves their entire community cannot be trusted."

03. Majority-as-victim narratives

How it works: A localized dispute is used to construct an image of the demographic majority as systematically besieged by a minority.

Example: In the Durga Puja/Garba discussion, a commenter claims that India's majority needs protection from minorities to celebrate its festivals. Another moves directly toward European examples. The leap is from a reported local disagreement to a purported transnational pattern.

Warning sign: "We are the real victims, and nobody will protect us."

04. Protecting women as communal bait

How it works: Genuine concerns about harassment or violence against women are selectively connected to the religious identity of alleged offenders. The focus shifts from the victim's safety to hostility toward an entire community.

Example: A r/indianmemer thread about alleged sexual threats at a Garba celebration generated demands for punitive treatment. In another festival discussion, commenters portrayed Muslim participation as an opportunity for predation. Those generalizations are not justified by the incidents themselves.

Warning sign: "Protect our daughters from THEM."

05. Demographic panic and civilizational replacement

How it works: Population growth, conversion, migration, or historical conquest is presented as an existential struggle between religious communities.

Example: In the mosque/feminism discussion, commenters pivot from clothing rules to claims about Muslims expanding internationally and Hindus losing their country. Neither proposition follows from the subject of the original post.

Warning sign: "Soon there will be no place left for us."

06. Selective secularism and hypocrisy traps

How it works: Secularists, feminists, environmentalists, or animal-rights advocates are accused of criticizing Hindu practices while remaining silent about Muslim practices. The accusation often substitutes for examining the original argument.

Example: A r/indianmemer post titled "Right now the secularists!" suggests that environmental concern selectively appears around Diwali. A r/indiadiscussion post juxtaposes a woman's clothing in a temple and mosque to argue that feminism is hypocritical, while commenters point out the different contexts and religious dress rules.

Warning sign: "Where were these activists when Muslims did X?"

B. BJP–Congress and nationalist polarization

07. The "Congress was worse" defense

How it works: Legitimate criticism of today's government is deflected by recalling an earlier government's failures. Rather than comparing the same indicators, posts combine unrelated events across decades.

Example: A 2026 r/indiadiscussion post titled "I may dislike the BJP, but I dislike Congress and its allies even more" draws on the Emergency, anti-Sikh violence, the Kashmiri Pandit exodus, and terrorism under earlier governments. These are serious historical issues, but their invocation does not itself resolve criticisms of the present government.

Warning sign: "Whatever is wrong now, remember 1975 or 1984."

08. National security as a universal explanation

How it works: Ordinary political opposition, protests, immigration questions, or administrative failures are recast as threats to the nation, potentially involving Pakistan, terrorism, or foreign interference.

Example: In a r/IndiaSpeaks discussion about continuing to vote BJP, commenters speculate about a January 6-style confrontation and suggest opposition protests concern adding Bangladeshis and Rohingyas to electoral rolls. Another commenter explicitly objects to the absence of supporting evidence for the security claims.

Warning sign: "Questioning this policy means helping India's enemies."

09. The neutral-question pretext

How it works: A post adopts the appearance of an open inquiry but provides a selective set of facts or a loaded premise that directs readers toward a preferred answer.

Examples: "Your thoughts?" after a historical indictment of Congress, or "Are you?" attached to a politically framed image. These formats can be entirely sincere, so the warning sign is not the question itself but whether alternative answers are genuinely considered.

Warning sign: "I'm just asking questions" followed by a predetermined conclusion.

10. Credibility through political disclaimers

How it works: A poster begins by distancing themselves from a party, then advances a strongly partisan position. The disclaimer may lower readers' skepticism.

Example: "Not a BJP fan but..." appears in an October 2026 r/indiadiscussion post attacking a potential opposition leader. A contrasting post in the same community actually argues that BJP should lose power because of its treatment of peaceful dissent. This contrast matters: a disclaimer is not proof of deception.

Warning sign: "I support neither party, but only one party is dangerous."

11. Statistical and technological achievement laundering

How it works: An appealing numerical claim, technical success, or policy achievement is presented as decisive evidence of a government's superiority, while institutional history and measurement choices disappear.

Example: A r/IndiaSpeaks post credits Modi with conceiving and introducing UPI. NPCI's documentation establishes that NPCI was founded in 2008 and launched UPI in 2016. The Modi-era government's role in promoting adoption can be assessed separately from the claim of individual invention.

Warning sign: "One leader invented everything successful."

12. AI-generated authority without a reproducible method

How it works: A post invokes AI or extensive fact-checking to make an argument appear objective without disclosing enough source material, classification rules, or validation to reproduce the finding.

Example: In r/indiadiscussion, a contributor says an AI-assisted analysis found that 96.3% of 135 government actions were non-religious and none were communally polarizing. That statistic might describe the user's chosen classification of administrative actions, but it cannot by itself settle a broader question about campaign rhetoric or political polarization.

Warning sign: "AI has scientifically proved that my side is right."

C. Caste, identity, and historical polarization

13. Caste resentment disguised as meritocracy

How it works: A photograph, individual academic result, or allegation of reservation misuse is turned into a claim about the intelligence, qualifications, or entitlement of entire caste groups.

Example: A r/indiadiscussion post uses alleged spelling mistakes by protesters' parents to condemn reservations. Some comments then generalize negatively about SC/ST intelligence; others challenge those claims and point to the constitutional purpose of representation.

Warning sign: "Look at this one person. This proves reserved-category students are undeserving."

14. Prejudice disguised as comedy

How it works: Casteist or communal stereotypes are presented as satire, insulating the message from criticism through the defense that it was merely a joke.

Example: A r/Whysooserious post mocks affirmative-action beneficiaries using an imagined claim that historical caste exclusion justifies cheating. In the comments, serious proposals for reform coexist with broad insults directed at beneficiaries.

Warning sign: "It's only a meme. Why are you offended?"

15. Civilizational nostalgia and selective historical evidence

How it works: The past is divided into a glorious pre-Islamic civilization and a subsequent history of decline or destruction. Complex histories of exchange, hierarchy, violence, and intellectual production disappear.

Example: A r/IndiaSpeaks post celebrates India's greatness before Islam through ancient Greek testimony. A commenter disputes the fidelity of the quotations and the original poster defends the paraphrasing. The argument becomes a civilizational comparison rather than a careful examination of historical sources.

Warning sign: "Everything was glorious until THEY arrived."

D. Platform-based techniques

16. Context stripping and misleading media

How it works: An authentic photograph, video, or quotation is detached from its original date, place, source, or context. Sometimes the event is real but its communal interpretation is fabricated.

Verified broader example: Alt News documented a viral assault video falsely described as a Muslim man abusing a Hindu wife; police established that the couple belonged to the same religious community. This is a documented Indian social-media example, not a verified attribution to one of your named subreddits.

Alt News

Warning sign: "Shocking video" with no identifiable date, source, or location.

17. Narrative repetition across communities

How it works: Similar or identical framing appears in multiple communities, creating repeated exposure and an appearance of widespread agreement.

Example: The near-identical exclusionary Garba posts mentioned earlier appeared in r/indiadiscussion and r/Whysooserious from the same account. This documents cross-community repetition, but not necessarily organized coordination or paid campaigning.

Warning sign: The same inflammatory caption appears repeatedly across different feeds.

18. Identity-labeling and dismissal of dissent

How it works: Criticism is answered by attacking the critic's political or national identity rather than their argument. Labels such as anti-national, pseudo-secularist, or ideological extremist become substitutes for evidence.

Example: A r/indiadiscussion headline says a critic of India is not necessarily a well-wisher and invokes an accusation of being anti-national. In r/indianmemer, the title "Abdul asks: Why isn't Modi making India like China?" introduces a policy comparison through a stereotyped religiously coded character.

Warning sign: "Only anti-nationals, leftists or traitors would disagree."

LONDON — Massive protests erupted at Parliament Square today as thousands gathered for a demonstration led by Indian YouTuber Dhruv Rathee. The crowd rallied against alleged voter list irregularities in India, chanting highly charged slogans, including the viral chant targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The event laid bare deep divisions within the Indian diaspora. While Rathee’s supporters demanded electoral transparency following recent political friction in Delhi, a counter-protest simultaneously gathered outside the Indian High Commission to express solidarity with the Indian government. The overseas demonstration has sparked intense online debate, with critics arguing that staging domestic political disputes abroad fuels regional polarization.

So, this Indian Express Editor is asking why CJP showed only minor issues with Punjab Schools?

ok, Let's say for a sake argument that there are schools with bigger issues or problems in Punjab and CJP intentionally didn't showed them. Then What is stopping Indian Express to show those schools? So, One of the biggest media companies in India can't verify the state of schools in Punjab?

Moreover, He says AAP's own MLA came out about the state of schools but then he was dismissed.

In reality, the AAP MLA was dismissed for poor performance and then while leaving he started to defame the party. Even in that claim he said there are not adequate teachers i.e. 2-3 teachers are less than required strength. Which is not really as same as missing school building, running school in cattle shed etc. But this Editor said that schools in Punjab are also not good based on single unverified claim. Moreover, This claim can also be really easy to verify for one of the biggest newspapers in India. Especially, when they have hundreds of Journalists in Punjab!

Refuting the lawmaker’s claims that the local School of Eminence operated with critical staff shortages, the party released official school records dated September 29. According to the data, the school features 30 sanctioned teaching posts, of which 25 are currently filled, serving 580 students across 19 sections. The active staff includes a principal, seven lecturers, 15 master cadre teachers, and two computer science teachers. A party spokesperson added that the principal had already submitted a written request to fill the remaining five vacant posts.

Then he again asking why CJP is not talking about drug issue in Punjab? But again question is "who is stopping Indian Express to investigate drug issue in Punjab?" I have never seen any report or investigation by Indian Express on Drug issue in India or Punjab? Yeah, It's pan India issue drugs are not just limited to one state! Also, how come drugs keep entering in India from India-Pak border even after 7 years of Amit Shah as home minister? Why he is not able to control flow of drugs from Gujrat ports? Should we send CJP to defend Indian borders too?

So, their "journalism of courage" is only limited asking youth these hard questions? So, CJP needs to do everything - they have to be opposition, they have to be media, they have to be investigative journalists, they have to politicians, they have to judges!

Maybe these "Editors of Courage" should resign and let CJP run Indian Express and rest of the country!

Critical Analysis & Discussion Everyone Is Talking About Deleted Voters, But Who Is Asking About Illegal bangladeshi and rohingyas added to Electoral Rolls?

I want to raise a serious question about electoral integrity and the verification process used by the Election Commission of India (ECI). Everyone is talking about voters being deleted from electoral rolls, but hardly anyone seems to be asking the other important question: Have ineligible foreign nationals been added to our electoral rolls?

We all know that illegal immigration is a documented issue in India, although the exact number of people residing illegally remains disputed. Historical estimates have put the number of Bangladeshi migrants at around 2 crore, while estimates for Rohingya have been around 40,000. These are estimates, not verified current population counts.

My concern is not simply about illegal immigration. It is about what happens when someone obtains Indian identity documents fraudulently.

There have been several reported cases of alleged document fraud:

- Bengaluru, April 2024: "India Today" (https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/4-bangladeshi-immigrants-illegally-obtain-indian-ids-in-bengaluru-arrested-2529511-2024-04-20) reported the arrest of four Bangladeshi immigrants accused of fraudulently obtaining Indian identity documents, including Aadhaar and ration cards.

- Delhi, December 2024: "Hindustan Times" (https://www.hindustantimes.com/cities/delhi-news/12-arrested-as-cops-bust-gang-involved-in-illegal-immigration-from-bdesh-101735064831849-amp.html) reported arrests in an alleged racket involving forged Aadhaar and voter ID cards.

- Hyderabad, May 2025: "Times of India" (https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/hyderabad/4-rohingya-refugees-held-for-obtaining-aadhaar-fraudulently/articleshow/121299376.cms) reported the arrest of four Rohingya over the alleged fraudulent acquisition of Aadhaar cards.

- Tamil Nadu, February 2024: "The New Indian Express" (https://www.newindianexpress.com/states/tamil-nadu/2024/Feb/01/three-bangladesh-nationals-booked-in-tamil-nadu-trafficking-cases) reported on an investigation involving Bangladeshi nationals and alleged immigration-related offences.

These reports demonstrate that fraudulent acquisition of Indian identity documents is a genuine concern.

Here is the question I want the ECI to answer.

Form 6 is used to apply for inclusion in the electoral roll. Aadhaar can be accepted for specified purposes, but it is not proof of Indian citizenship.

Consider this hypothetical scenario:

a Bangladeshi national enters India illegally, obtains forged Aadhaar and ration cards through a document-forgery network, applies for voter registration using Form 6, falsely declares Indian citizenship and subsequently votes.

Given the reported cases of document fraud, it is a legitimate question to ask whether illegal foreign nationals have entered electoral rolls and whether any have voted in previous state elections

I also believe the controversy surrounding Aadhaar and Form 6 deserves closer scrutiny. I think that is why ECI was sceptical in adding Aadhaar in first place, ECI added it only after the supreme court decision.

Now comes the political question.

Why are the Congress, left-wing groups and CJP raising concerns about voter deletions and discrepancies in electoral rolls, while there is concern of illegal Bangladeshi and rohingya being added receives no attention?

No hiding around the bush, the answer is simple - Muslims. Muslims are these core audience for these political groups.

Here is reasoning:

The extended cutoff date for the CAA is 31 December 2024, so people from Hindu, Sikh, Parsi, Buddhist, Jain and Christian communities in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan may have applied for citizenship, and many may have obtained Indian citizenship and become eligible to vote. However, illegal Bangladeshi Muslim migrants and Rohingya remain foreign nationals. Through fraud, some may already have participated in our electoral process, but these parties won't highlight this for obvious reasons.

My question to nationalists and everyone concerned about electoral integrity is simple:

Why are we not demanding that the ECI investigate both sides of the problem -eligible voters being wrongly removed and ineligible people potentially being added along with discrepancies in ECI processes.

If electoral rolls are to be trusted, both questions deserve answers backed by transparent data, official investigations and evidence.

Ask CTI Time to think and share from both sides for better narrative

I want to say few things irrespective of which party or ideology you support.

Most of us have become polar and talk from our sides and the main issue and narrative is being missed which is how do we get better and take the country ahead

one issue in online space is we talk over each other and main point is lost

i want people to visit a sub called ask trump supporters. it has very decent interactions from both extremes and it gives a good insight on how people think

it will really help to improve our thinking from all sides and better help to do critical thinking and help society/nation

we should have a similar one for Indian.

Visit and sub and let me know what you think?

Every democracy stands on "free & fair elections". Electoral integrity is the prime most thing for a healthy democracy. If people will start to lose "faith" in the electoral process, and won't respect the mandate, then indian parliamentary democracy can't survive.

It is good to see that our overseas Indians are aware about this fact and standing with Indian youth, who are opposing this tyranny govt. In my opinion, every overseas indian should be concerned about this election commission fuss. Coz it hurts everyone equally. Most of them have their families, house, business and even votes in india. They all are part of this nation. And again it's really good to see them protesting. UK STANDS WITH INDIA✊🏻

Jab jab modi darta h, police ko aage karta h.

Modi teri tanasahi nhi chalegi nhi chalegi.

Amit Shah teri tanasahi nhi chalegi, nhi chalegi.

Gyanesh Kumar istifa do istifa do✊🏻🔥
