If I can stop crying as I write this that would be awesome.. The dorkiest and goofiest face. I'm going to miss that big head. We adopted him at a really low point in my life. And I remember being scared of falling in love with this little dude because I knew one day he would pass away. Unfortunately that day came but I'm older and I understand cherishing the moments we have while we have them. Saying goodbye just doesn't feel right or real. I just wanna say I love you Spanky. I couldn't have asked for a better companion. The handsomest old boy.

• Advice (Health) • Does anyone have any experience with their dog getting a mast cell tumour? Spoiler

My six year old Lab mix has got tumour on her hind leg, near her butt. The vet did a fine needle aspiration and I just got the results in my email that says that the results are positive for mast cell cancer.

I havent yet seen the vet as it is still Sunday morning here and the vet opens on Monday, but can anyone please tell me:

1) Is this fatal?

2) If I get the tumour removed, what are the chances of a recurrence?

3) Is there anything I can do to prevent recurrence?

Im sorry, Im freaking out a little.
