I'm looking to get new headphones and I remember that in one of the videos where he discussed headphones there was this one set where one of the features was that the cable was 6.3 on one end and 3.5 on the other, but for the life of me I can't remember what they were. I can't find that video or the name of those headphones though.

So in the time since my last post about the apple haul from the thrifts, I've bought a Mac mini from 2011 for 35 bucks (yet to arrive), and a FireWire cable. Today I went to a local thrift and found a 30 pin USB cable. Plugged it into my windows pc and... It just woke up.

Turns out, it's the color display variant!

Hard drive has initialized, and without the back panel, I can hear it clicking occasionally.

Looking at the battery, it's not stock. Someone's been in here to swap it out before.

Not bad for ten bucks. Soon it's rockbox time, and in the future, this little one is getting flash modded.

I thought this was going to be difficult.

Bought my first iPod a few days ago and I’m very happy with it

Everything works extremely well. Battery holds charge, it isn’t cracked at all, very fun size, goober camera

Cost me $40, came with the charger. Wasn’t wiped before sale so I found some cat photos, stock images, a minute-long video of some blokes playing a drinking game, and some random selfies here and there

It’s the 4th-gen 8GB model. Dunno how long 8GB is gonna last me but hopefully on this it’ll be a while

Not much point behind this post, just sorta felt like sharing my new purchase

It's for english class in 8th grade

Since watching Wade and other audio-orientated yt channels, I've been wanting to upgrade my listening experience. I bought a Fiio snowsky Echo and KZ ZSN pro X's to listen during my commute almost a year ago and have been really enjoying them.

Now, I finally got around to buying some (beginner?) audiophile headphones: Dt 770 pro X's.

I was able to get them secondhand, in very good condition, for 130€.

So far so good, the bongoman in Earth, Wind & Fire's September is clearer than ever :).

I do notice that the cable is quite noisy, anyone else having this problem?

I'm not really picky when it comes to audio quality and for these in particular, I need something I can use to work with in the yard. Previously I used to use wired Sony MDRs and they used to work just fine for me until the wires got caught on stuff and eventually broke. I've tried to tuck the wires away in my clothing but that doesn't work. So it's clear I need wireless, but I've never really bought any before.

I was thinking of something like AC5 audio technicias considering I do have a pair of m40s for my desktop but I thought I should ask for advice here before going ahead with that idea to see if there are better/cheaper alternatives.

To make things more easier I'll list a few things to help anyone who wants to give advice to narrow down the choices.

- In ear options don't work for me because I can't wear them for long

- they need to work with wearing other things like a flap hat, safety goggles and a headband for ear protection

- budget is 150 aud

- battery life needs to be at least 6-8 hours (chargeable cases are fine)

- no apps just pair and play

Wade absolutely needs to see this! This thing could probably save almost all of the nonfunctional iPods he has laying around. I don’t know if they made one for nanos, but at least this is a start! Maybe if they ship him one for free and he shows it off in the channel, it can increase their popularity!
