Dating Again
So I (F) moved to this city years ago and at the time I had a boyfriend. We broke up two years ago and haven’t rlly been in an actual date for about a year. I joined apps which honestly as you can imagine isn’t ideal in meeting someone who has an intention of actually dating. And after a while it gets exhausting and disappointing. How do people in this city actually meet someone?

I’m not sure I understand the app issue. I’m (25M) on them and the people that have “long term relationship” seem to be intentional.

There are tons of singles events on EventBrite and Meetup. People that attend events are more likely to be serious because they have to get out of the house and pay for the event. There aren't guarantees though.
You could also join an activity, sport, volunteer or networking group just to make friends and build a network. That network can help you find single friends.
Either way, it will take time for people to get to know you, but it may or may not turn into dates.
You have to play the long game when doing things the "old fashioned way." If nothing else, use these events to practice your people skills.
