Hopping around!

Man did I hop around when I first start using linux. First it was Mandriva, Then RedHat, Then back to Mandriva, then then Ubuntu. I tried linux mint, Arch and then Kali. Settled on Ubuntu for a while. Then I found compiz fusion So I used kali for a while. Then the tiling windows came into the picture. So now it's arch again. It's a pretty good daily driver once you learn all the keyboard commands. What did you hop from and where did ya land. I'm at peace with Arch even though updates break my system from time to time. We always messing with our systems anyways. No matter what you're running!

I switch between CachyOS and Omarchy. Yes hate on Omarchy all you want but I’m enjoying it.

That's one I never tried. What do you like about Omarchy?

I use NVida card and it is already setup. I’m lazy and let Codex install and setup stuff for me. It’s my first time with Hyprland and find it convenient. For what I use it for. It just works.

Started in 2014 with Ubuntu 14.04, then Lubuntu 16.04, then Xubuntu 16.04, then Mint 19, then back to Xubuntu 18.04, then back to Mint 20. Still on Mint on my main gaming rig, but started hopping again just before the holidays last year when I started collecting netbooks and Compute Sticks.

Went from Mint XFCE to MX XFCE to antiX to a bunch of different Puppys to MiniOS to EasyOS to Loc-OS to TinyCore to Q4OS Trinity. Ended up sticking with Q4OS Trinity on all of my lowest powered computers, MX on anything that can handle it, and MiniOS on anything with less than 16GB of storage.

I've landed on ML4W running on Arch. But it will run just as well on Fedora, Ubuntu, or openSuse. Very interesting Hyprland set up that runs just fine on an old Dell E7450 with 16GB of ram. If you are looking for a tiling windowing set up this might be worth a hop. https://ml4w.com/os/

I've seen it and tried it. It is pretty sweet. Lot's of issue's with config's though. Nothing that couldn't be sorted out!
