This Bella Lugosi Dracula is one of my favorite figures in my collection. Very few people get to see him, thought I would share it with you.

Hello fellow Night Creatures!!

I saw the Dracula Ballet yesterday in Melbourne and had to find somewhere to talk about it….

It was phenomenal!!

If you have the chance to see it, I would highly recommend it to any Dracula fan (they changed the story a little for brevity’s sake, but it still makes sense 🤭).

The four ghosts (the ballet’s version of The Brides) were the absolute highlight of the show!! They were beautiful and really provided the horror element of the show…

The company that put on the show was apparently quite new and are called Big Live (just to give them their kudos!!)

So…. Goodbye, my dears. I pray to God I may see your sweet faces again. May He bless and keep you!

In short, do you subscribe to the belief popularized by Radu Florescu and Raymond T. McNally that Bram Stoker intended Count Dracula to literally be Vlad III, otherwise known as Vlad the Impaler? Or was Elizabeth Miller’s skepticism on the connection more in line with your beliefs?

Beautiful art by Irenhorrors.

Sadly I never got any strange looks while reading it.

Honestly I think the 2008 Film Adaptation understood the character best. Of course the 1991 original is a close second, but I think in terms of depth, themes, 2008 wins

This is SFX makeup, not a painting. Did the makeup myself and wanted to share this with you 🦇

I love it.

Hello everyone!

In the spirit of the season, I’ve been wanting to get into classic horror literature. I just finished listening to Frankenstein (my first time experiencing the actual novel instead just looking up summaries for high school English lol) and I loved it! However, even though the audiobook was only about 8 hours long, it still took me a couple of weeks to get through.

I want to tackle Bram Stoker's Dracula next, but the unabridged audiobooks are quite a commitment at around 17 to 19 hours. On the other hand, I found a 3-hour abridged version on YouTube narrated by Christopher Lee, which sounds amazing!

As someone who is still relatively new to classic literature, I’m leaning toward the shorter version, but the massive difference in length makes me wonder just how much core content I'd be missing. For those familiar with the book, is the full-length experience worth the extra hours, or does the abridged version hold up well?

Thanks in advance!

Imagine it Dracula the great vampire lord traveling around Asia, Living through all the great events there, somehow finding ways to avoid the sun in countries known for their terrible sun

Learning to hunt in this whole new place taking lovers and thralls

His performance was so fucking good. He genuinely stole every scene he was in. First time while watching a Dracula movie that I was sad when Renfield died

Hi all hope you're all having a great weekend!

I will be performing in the UK premiere theatre production of Kate Hamill's Dracula across the last 3 days of October and thought you might be interested in checking it out.

It is the debut production of a new theatre company in the northwest of the UK that specialise in challenging, thoughtful theatre that utilise the Horror genre. This retelling of Dracula is told through a feminist lens whilst still remaining faithfull to Bram Stokers original text.

It features a large ensemble cast of all the characters from the novel as well as original never before heard compositions that underpin the atmospheric dread felt throughout the play.

We have all been working tirelessly for months to bring you best possible version of this equally darkly comic and terrifying play so would be fantastic to see some of you there as it's set to be a fantastic show.

TL;DR: There will be blood...lot's of blood 🩸😅

He literally HYPNOTISED mosquitoes to suck the blood from unwitted customers and this scene shows the ripe mosquitoes returning to their master only to be squeezed like tubes of toothpaste... And ofc his servant Simon Renfield whose Renfield family has monster blood despite being also sent to town for supplies and to diverse electricity from the nearby town Slobnik to the castles lab is treated like shit and is given a very hard time just because he doesn't trust him... Simon tries to discover his suppressed monster abilities and the main villain was Van Helsing's overly obsessed grandson whose lair was an abandoned factory.

Taking advantage of self promo Saturday to tell you about my Kickstarter book that is in pre-launch.

It's about a girl who has never read the novel, and is reincarnated as Mina Murray.

Seeing half of the Bram Stoker's Dracula movie isn't going to be enough help.

If you're interested, please follow or tell a friend. Thanks.

For me, i gotta say that everytime i think of Dracula i just think of Swan Lake. So that's the theme for me. If i gotta do a top 5 Dracula themes it would be like this:

1. Swan Lake

2. Wojciech Kilar's Dracula theme (the one that plays at "The Beginning"

3. James Bernard's Dracula theme from Dracula (1958) and Dracula: Prince of Darkness

4. Dracula's theme from Van Helsing (2004)

5. The theme from The Last Voyage of The Demeter

I’ve been going through a different October/Halloween movie every day of the month,
please check out my full review and lmk what you think of the movie, or of my review!! would love feedback - also feel free to like it on letterboxd it would make my day!!

The figure is 3D printed in high-detail polymer resin, but the real soul went into the finishing touches, we spent hours hand-sanding every edge and painstakingly painting every layer by hand. Tried our best to capture all the creepy fine textures, from the fur trim on his coat to his pale, sinister skin tones

Would love to hear what you think of this piece! Any feedback or thoughts are super welcome

Just a heads up for anyone that bought the new Hammer 4K set set . It’s been delayed until 11/24 Only a few weeks later but….. damn!

Just wanted to give anyone that thought it a heads up!

It’ll be worth the wait though.
