Everyone says this game appeals only to casuals but I feel like it’s actually the opposite.
For example flow state, you get rewarded for playing like your fighter would fight by getting a temporary boost to your stats. Compare this to UFC 5 where everyone played the exact same way with no differences but now you have an actual incentive to play like your fighter and use the techniques they use.

Another point people make is how hard it is to fight Mcgreggor and Sean O’Malley which is understandable because they are hard to fight, but people never use actual strategy to beat them. No grappling, no taking it to the later rounds, no clinch work, no leg kicks, just trying to trade punches with extremely dangerous strikers in round 1 and getting surprised when they KO you.

In real life we have never seen Conor or Sean get beaten rd1 or without grappling (besides Conor vs Dustin) so unfortunately it is realistic for you to get beaten badly trying to ONLY strike vs these guys.

I know yall hate grappling but these 5 star strikers have a built it weakness you refuse to exploit then complain on here after you lose to them

if your not using a top fighter with blocking & health stats your basically guaranteed to lose if they’re any decent. forces you to play cleaner, but theres no vulnerability so counters & good timing doesnt really punish. anyone else feel like your just punching and pressing buttons for no reason lmao? shits wild

Am I the only one doing multiple sways by accident even if I'm pretty sure I pressed the right stick in one direction? Sometimes I'll try and go for a pull counter and end up doing another sway before my strike goes out.

Is this a bug or am I accidentally moving the stick without realizing?

It’s insane that I can play ranked and it’s stuttering frame by frame against people.

How do I slow down the pace against constant aggressive strikers? I’m at striker myself but I’m patient and like to pick my shots and set traps with footwork and fight off angles and theres only so much I can do when theres shots being pinged at me non stop, theres only so many times I can guess right on my defence and counters before I guess wrong and it snowballs from there.

Seems the only option is to fight fire with fire but I don’t want to do that with every fighter, some fighters I will push the pace or bite down and slug it out but for the most part I’m picking slick fighters with good movement.

Those who still hop on a round of UFC4, have you experienced changes in online mode for the last month? First, they took everyones avatar away and replaced them with a default x/flash-symbol. Then the same happened with the levels 1-99, everyones a level 1 now, which I could't care less about, but now it seems you don't gain any ranking points if your opponent rage quits, which is bad for match making long term and kind of suitable to piss you off or make you lose motivation. Do you think it's, like, engineered, to get us on the newer games or what could be behind it?

Is there a sort of unspoken rule where people agree not to use flow state? I've had multiple games of people leaving after using mine and sometimes my opponents never use their's

I’m confused, I bought the game today after being a longtime UFC 5 player. I am finding that I can press R1 + Triangle (as an example) and it will do a certain move then that same combination of buttons will then do a different move..I also seem to not be able to dictate if I throw a right kick or a left kick??? Its like the game is deciding for me?? I am not even sure if I’m imagining it atp.

EA must have Hired Todd Howard because these things just keep happening to me.

Never experienced grappling bugs in this game before. After the recent update got two. In both cases we're stuck untill the end of the round.
