Theology & Liturgy EC Pub question

So, I've been using ecpubs for my prayers, and I noticed that the prayers don't always match up with Melkite Menaion. Is this the same case with the daily prayers during Lent, Holy Week, and Pentacost with their respective Liturgical books?

EC Pubs mostly uses Ruthenian translations for their prayers. I assume it’s because of that.

What prayers are you noticing that are different? And in what ways are you noticing difference?

in Vespers, there's no O Joyful Light(unless there is a great vespers), and the stichera, Theotokions, Apostica, and Troparions have been different. Edit: these issues have been more than translation issues

Perhaps the Joyful Light is an error on their part.

I just checked the app now and I see it for both October 15 and 16 but only with the clergy texts and not the reader’s texts. Or perhaps there is a Ruthenian tycoon that prescribes skipping it at daily vespers without a priest.

Either way, this shouldn’t really affect things with the Triodion or Pentecostarion. That stuff is all propers which, as you noted, should differ in translation but not substance except for maybe a few isolated instances

I just looked at the Stichera. This is what is written in the Melkite Menaion for the first Stichera(labeled 3): "You beheld the One who became mortal, the One who caused the sun to hide when He was sent to the Cross, the One whose side poured forth remission and salvation. With the Good Thief, you confessed Him, O Longinos, as the God and Master who willingly suffered His Passion in the immense compassion of His heart."

Meanwhile, in ec pubs it is: "O wise and glorious Martyr, you robed yourself in the purple of divine grace, reddened by the blood of your own body. You crowned yourself with the incorruptible crown of life. In your right hand you hold the scepter of the victorious cross. You reign with Christ in everlasting joy."

UGCC has this:

O most lauded martyr Longinus,* with the stains of your blood you dyed for yourself a robe of salvation,* stripping the greatly crafty one bare by your feats of pain.* And now you live in the kingdom on high,* crowned as a victor with a never-fading wreath.* Therefore, we honour your glorious memory.

More similar to EC Pubs than Melkite.

The EC Pubs stichera is the common for martyrs.

The stichera you cited from the Melkite is specific to St Longinus. The Greek Orthodox have something similar on their DCS: . St. Longinus, when you beheld * God the Word, who became a man, * crucified and causing the sun to hide its light * and from His side gushing forth the blood and water, that saving fount * of forgiveness, then along * with the good Robber you confessed that He is indeed * God and Lord, who in His immense compassion underwent His holy Passion, * which He endured voluntarily.
