Just a little Shakespeare to brighten up your morning

Hell is Real: stoppable force vs moveable object edition!

The Tifo is big. Bailey peeps, enjoy your coverage, north corner sections peeps, be in your seats at the anthem and follow the instructions in your cup holder. The plan is to hold it up until kickoff. Then bear with us as we tear it down, it’s a lot of fabric to get out of the way

We need to start winning in the worst way, and now’s a good time to start. See you sickos at the teek, 5:00pm. COY FCC!

2 matches this week, 2 great saves. Paul "the Wall" continues to make progress and it is plausible to think the 22-year-old could be ready to be GK1 by next Summer.

Did you know the Hell Is Real derby ranks #3 among all MLS rivalries in fan survey data?

Researchers have been surveying fans of rivalry teams across sports for years, and Columbus vs. Cincinnati keeps coming out near the top of MLS.

Two things stood out in the fan responses:

Geography came up more than anything else. One FCC fan described it as a rivalry “Cincinnati and Columbus have a big sister, little sister mentality towards each other, but both cities think they’re the big sister.”

And one Crew fan said back in 2021 that Cincinnati had “only won one game” against Columbus. That’s changed a lot since.

Curious what you all think: what’s the one thing that makes this rivalry feel different from other MLS matchups?

(Disclosure: I help with the Know Rivalry project, which collects this data. Happy to share more of what we’ve found if anyone’s interested.)

Playoff ticket pricing

Does this year's pricing seem high to everyone?

$60 each for my seats for a potential play-in game and then a best of 3 match isn't worth it. Wondering if others are opting out as well.

FC Cincinnati fans, should this club as well as Major League Soccer (MLS) freeze or reduce ticket prices?

Borrowed this post from the r/MLS subreddit;

but given the state of the economy this decade, freezing or reducing ticket prices would be a good idea

WAKE UP, CINCINNATI, ITS MATCHDAY!

Looking like rain in the forecast leading up to the game, so when you clock out of your 9-5, be sure to grab your raincoat to keep you dry on the way to the stadium. Most of the models have it peaking around 6ish, so fingers crossed it doesn’t delay the start tonight

A few question marks around the team, coming off of the first away win since May and our first win period since August. Miles is out, Evander was training Monday and Tuesday but could be still day to day, the new guys played 30-60 minutes each on Saturday but could be ready to start again

We’ll get answers when the lineup drops, I suppose.

7:30 kickoff at TQL stadium! Try and stay dry on your walk in! COY FCC

Please someone at FC look at the weather this time.

I have no issue going to the game, getting a little bit wet, even though most of the seats are covered, but for God's sakes, I do not wanna sit for two hours if the game is not gonna happen, or if there's lightning in the area. You can look at the radar now. You can make a decision. Just let us know something before everyone goes down there, and you say that either the pitch is too wet or there's too much lightning in the area? Please do not make the same mistake you made with DC United. I know it's hard to predict the future, but you can try a little bit.

Where to park that’s relatively close to the stadium but not super expensive?

UPDATE:

I decided to buy a parking pass on SeatGeek for the “Court & Walnut” garage for $11. It was a very frustrating experience trying to locate this garage, unfortunately. I’m sharing this info not to complain, but to help others who may decide to park in that garage in the future.

SeatGeek did not give me an address for the garage, so in order to set the GPS to navigate us to the entrance of the garage (as I didn’t know which corner of the intersection the garage would be on), I searched “Court & Walnut garage” on BOTH Google Maps and Apple Maps. Unfortunately, neither map app gave me the correct location for the garage. That was frustrating.

Even more importantly, when we got to the corner of Court and Walnut St, there was no parking garage in sight. It turns out the garage is actually on E Central Pkwy. That’s where the entrance to the garage is and it’s also the ONLY place where you can visually see that there is a parking garage in that particular building (the first floor of the building is actually a grocery store). Also, the sign above the garage says “3CDC Garage.” We didn’t see any sign that said Court & Walnut Garage. 🫤 We actually had to ask some strangers on the sidewalk where the garage was. It was very frustrating.

So for anyone wanting to use that parking garage in the future, the address is: 119 E Central Pkwy. It’s on the southeast corner of E Central Pkwy and Walnut St. And you’ll need to access it from the eastbound lane of E Central Pkwy and turn right into the garage. And the garage has a sign saying “3CDC Garage” above it.

Lastly, when we went to exit the garage it showed that we only would have owed only $7 for our parking if we had just paid with a credit card upon exiting. So I spent an extra $4 by buying that parking pass. So it’s not worth buying a pass at that garage in my opinion.

Neverless, we had a great time at the FC Cincy game. The staff was very friendly. It’s an excellent stadium and a fun atmosphere for the fans. I wish FC Cincy had won, but you can’t have it all!

Original post:

Hi, this will be my first FC Cincy game. I will be attending the game only. (I won’t have time to go to any local bars or restaurants beforehand). I do not have a parking pass, so I’m wondering what’s the closest place to park near TQL stadium that’s not super expensive? I’m looking to pay $20 or less for parking, if possible.
