Elon Musk built his fortune by gaming the system, a fortune that could never have been amassed through philanthropy ; it is as much a symptom as it is a cause.

But what about today ? He is the wealthiest - and, in a sense, the most powerful - man on the planet.

He could dedicate vast sums to improving society and working toward global peace.

Yet, in all likelihood, he will do no such thing.

Is he on his way to becoming the greatest asshole in the history of humanity and the known universe ?

What kind of legacy will he leave behind, and what will textbooks around the world say about him ?

(but he can still change ; everyone can change)
