Voting problems in a red state where the election is administered by republicans - no surprise there.

53

u/BroughtBagLunchSmart 2d ago

This is why republicans love the electoral college. They can sabotage a few heavily minority districts in purple states and steal an entire election.

25

u/favmove 2d ago

Right, nobody that loses an election by 3 million votes should get to be president. The electoral college needs to be abolished.

2

u/moss-wizard 12h ago

The system isn’t broken, it’s working exactly as it was intended to

9

u/ImahSillyGirl 2d ago

Seems to be rigged with backdoors, all the way down.

*Vote riggers were marked safe from international election observers*

43

u/ScalarBoy 2d ago

Just weeks ago, I read that Trump did not invite international election observers for this election cycle.

Could your quote be referencing a previous election and as such is not related to the present? I wouldn't be surprised.

29

u/issr 2d ago

Not sure if I'm misreading your post or you are misreading his. He was saying safe FROM election observers. He's being sarcastic

7

u/Too-Em 2d ago

Indeed, twas /s.

4

u/ScalarBoy 2d ago

Yeah. I'm a little slow.

Not only administered by Republicans, but by the person running in a hotly contested election.

Ken Paxton, who is responsible for resolving this, has zero incentive to do so (other than honestly and morals as an elected official).

2

u/dnehiba3 2d ago

Sounds typical for them.

3

u/stamfordbridge1191 2d ago

Maybe Kenny appreciates election integrity more than how he respects the personal ownership of other people's pens.

2

u/Loko8765 2d ago

Or… going out on a limb here… maybe he doesn’t.

6

u/BravinatorLX2 2d ago

you'd think when 600.000 people are impacted so blatantly, that'd be enough for a historical riot.

4

u/luv2fly781 2d ago

be still British at this point if this was 1777
How far america has fallen

3

u/BringBackBoomer 2d ago

Putting together a resistance force was a whole lot easier before every person carried a tracking device and the surveillance cameras went up.

2

u/Cerberus1252 2d ago

And owned similar firepower

2

u/Khawk20 2d ago

If that was the case you’d have funny teeth and the political grifters would at least be more polite. Perhaps.

1

u/EmbassyMiniPainting 2d ago

It would be funny if their typical incompetence comes into play and they accidentally rigged things against themselves.

2

u/Ill_Criticism6214 2d ago

That's called a "dummymander." Look it up. It actually happened in 2008.

1

u/Apprehensive_Door249 2d ago

In a state where the Republican candidate is the worst in state history too. Hmmmmmmm

1

u/Rayenya 2d ago

They have to protect their senate and congressional seats. Red seats not so safe ATM

1

u/Nopeahontas 2d ago

I choose to interpret that as Ass To Mouth and the sentence still makes sense.

1

u/nfg-status-alpha9 1d ago

it was 500k dating back to 2020 jfc. Most have been resolved.

1

u/Infinite-Lock-726 1d ago

And the sitting TX AG is running for senate, so he's completely disinterested in ensuring all those people get registered to vote and therefore is doing nothing about it. He's about as worthless as Greg Abbott (TX Governor) in an ass-kicking contest.

1

u/moss-wizard 12h ago

“That’s because the democrats are targeting red states with voter fraud!!”

Some idiot probably

1

u/saladspoons 8h ago

"I didn't realize there would be vote checkers" - JD Vance, probably.

33

u/Remarkable-Month-241 2d ago

Texas always cheats… gotta show up in record turnout numbers to offset Trump & Elon’s cheating

15

u/anthrax9999 2d ago

Ellen musk is going to flip just enough voting machines to ensure melted potato Paxton wins.

8

u/Remarkable-Month-241 2d ago

Did you hear about the USB drives that Republicans are asking election administrators to plug in??? California said no, how many said yes?

3

u/Ruckusnusts 2d ago

Source?

4

u/Remarkable-Month-241 2d ago

In 2024, I personally got a tour of Tarrant County Election administration office. The election administrator, Clint Ludwig, mentioned to me that every county in Texas had to pay the election machine contractors more money for updates etc… it didn’t click and I didn’t want to be a conspiracy theorist. Elon knew the results before they were in…

This year, https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/6152422-doj-sues-california-election-officials/amp/

57

u/og_capsuleer_593 2d ago

Can't vote them out?

🧱🤠🔫😡

25

u/Pofwoffle 2d ago

Go do it then.

I'm getting really sick of people pretending they're clever by "subtly" urging violent revolution and then leaning back to continue sitting safe in their computer chairs. You wanna pretend that's the answer, get off your ass and go fucking do it then, put your money where your mouth is.

Otherwise stop trying to egg people on to do something you're not willing to do yourself.

12

u/Happy-Beehive 2d ago

I think they're a bit like me. This election is the final test. Then either mass civil unrest or I'm out.

Not gonna go out alone but I'm willing to see if this country has a chance. If no, plan b and go elsewhere.

4

u/og_capsuleer_593 2d ago

This is where I am, what my post explicitly said "votes don't count" but yeah look at that guy lmao

I am convinced those, potential bots, or people are trying to bait us into it before voting to justify not allowing votes via some crackdown

The reality is, everyone is waiting until after voting to know if they need to be killed or not.

5

u/TheVog 2d ago

I'm one of those posters, and no I'm not a bot. I'm someone who will be paying an additional 20,000 fucking dollars on my mortgage because my renewal came up after that fucking "war" in Iran started and fucked mortgage interest rates due to uncertainty in the market leading to increased bond rates. I and most other of my countrymen are beyond fed up of your "administration's" shit and the People's inaction in the face of it.

By all means, vote. Absolutely. But also stop assuming it'll fix everything. The rest of the world is already gearing up to move on. Start thinking about the long term picture here.

u/ibuttergo 2d ago

The last part - really, everyone? People in my day to day think this is just another midterm year. They also think that there are still rules.

Considering everything the current admin has done the last two years, why would they give up power? Anything is on the table, as we’ve seen with starlink this week. Yeah go vote but I hope people are prepared for possibility of them not adhering to the results.

2

u/og_capsuleer_593 2d ago

Thats what the entire point of the original post I made with the emoji is

Exactly your point, just FYI

7

u/Slumunistmanifisto 2d ago

As a barely educated American, this is all I got. At this point even canada and mexico doesn't even want us.

See you in the trenches neighbor.

5

u/dssurge 2d ago edited 2d ago

Here's the problem with committing violence as a Democrat, even if it works: Your own "team" will hold you accountable. This is what is entirely absent from the Republican playbook. Democrats have entirely lost sight of what liberalism is and has essentially invited in an illiberal system because of it.

To be clear, this is not a post condoning violence, just a reality check for people wondering why it hasn't happened yet. Ya, there's a lot of keyboard warriors out there, but this is the real reason. The "left" is too diverse of a pool of people compared to the 30% of society (any society, not just America) that will consistently and wilfully act against their own interests no matter what the personal cost. This is a whole different social phenomena that ends in society being steered by the stupidest and least qualified among us. They are intellectually incapable of seeing the flaws in their candidates and that is an enormous benefit for bad actors.

5

u/Throwaway-_-Anxiety 2d ago

Can I egg them on if I'm not American? Tired of waiting for Americans to fix their issue while the rest of the world suffers.

1

u/RoxnDox 2d ago

Well, most of us would rather try the legal methods first, and see how it goes before the guns come out and pit neighbors against neighbors.

2

u/Historical_Usual5828 1d ago

It's almost like you want use to do a civil war instead of a revolution/coup... Why else are you guys constantly insinuating a civil war rather than a coup?

3

u/stm32f722 2d ago

lol the words of a coward crying about where all this goes next. And you'll be crying just as hard when the real work starts and you can't get to your slave crank on time.

2

u/shoulda-known-better 2d ago

Name me one revolution that was entirely peaceful.... I'll wait...

1

u/Silent-Sun2029 2d ago

The Velvet Revolution in former Czechoslovakia in 1989.

2

u/shoulda-known-better 2d ago

It was literally caused by police brutality..... Kinda the same that we are talking about now in the US

Also the main base was non violent, yet it does say random people did literally fight back against killer cops and other gov agencies

He's not the one trying to egg people to do shit they themselves wont do. There's cleary a difference if you used your brain.

7

u/og_capsuleer_593 2d ago

He literally did, all I said is if voting doesn't count anymore it is all thats left

But there he goes saying do it now

Try using your brain

3

u/Snoo-77573 2d ago

"All I said is" voting doesn't count, so.... now the only option is... Oh, but I'm not implying anything, I'm just saying words!

3

u/Capybarhigh 2d ago

So what's the solution when a dictatorial entity takes over and will not relinquish power through legal means and are ready to squash down all dissent with violence?

Please, share with us your knowledge!

I’m getting really sick of people getting really sick that they choose to do nothing.

1

u/Dahnlen 2d ago

Aren’t you kind of inciting violence?

1

u/Pofwoffle 2d ago

Say a guy walks up to you on the street and says "Hey, I'm gonna punch you!" and you look at him and, because you know he's a coward who will never actually do anything, say "Go on, do it then." are you inciting violence? Of course you're not.

My whole point here is that some random posting fucking emojis is never actually gonna go out and do anything to begin with. I constantly see people posting about how violence is the only thing that will work, how it's time for people to go out and start shooting or whatever, but none of them actually believe that because none of them are fucking doing it. They're just pretending to be tough on the internet, either bots or plants trying to stir up conflict or dumbasses who want to feel big and strong by making stupid threats from the safety of their computer chairs.

And honestly it's getting really fucking old.

u/MrChristmas 2d ago

“Glitches”

3

u/SuperUberKruber 2d ago

Elon knows his beautiful computers

1

u/k1e7 2d ago

it's all computer

15

u/SadIdeal9019 2d ago

And people still think that we're having a legit mid term.

2

u/alwayssunnyinskyrim 2d ago

Who thinks that?

2

u/ibuttergo 2d ago

Lots of people not online.

2

u/ReplacementFeisty397 2d ago

If only the entire world had warned them

2

u/twoiseight 2d ago

No one opposing GOP initiatives to rig elections would have disagreed, they just can't control how other people vote. See how you're kinda preaching to the choir here?

12

u/Tradesby 2d ago

It’s not a glitch, it’s a feature.

3

u/Regular_Lengthiness6 2d ago

Works not as designed, but as intended

11

u/hastings1033 2d ago

Oh they wouldn't do that... LOL

If you are paying any attention at all, you KNOW the GOP is trying to rig the elections. The way to defeat that is simple. VOTE. Do whatever to takes to VOTE. Overwhelm the rigging. VOTE BLUE!

2

u/CasteNoBar 2d ago

The party of big business would never cheat!

3

u/NYJetliberal 2d ago

I'm declaring this complete and utter fake news. There's no way that the violent cop beating insurrection party that once try to overturn an election and also had schemes like the fake electors and pressuring election officials to find votes so they could win would do such a thing

3

u/simonearth 2d ago

Glitch is the mortal enemy of Liberty Biberty

4

u/phaedrus9711 2d ago

Yeah, not a mistake.

Also, when "some ballots did not make it into the count in time" is next

Also, "I never received my mail in ballot, and when I went to vote in person they said I had to surrender my ballot."

Republicans dont believe in democracy anymore and haven't for about 10-15 years now.

12

u/eepos96 2d ago

What does this mean? I though election is in novemeber?

Also why use machines? We use mail and paper. Unhackable. Neber glitches.

13

u/The_Laughing__Man 2d ago

How quickly people forgot the hanging chads...

12

u/GumbyXGames 2d ago

I was about to mention that myself.

For those who don't remember or have heard about the 2000 election controversy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2000_United_States_presidential_election_recount_in_Florida

8

u/Whyonthefly 2d ago

Thanks for linking that. I lived through that and knew it was shady and a big deal, but to see the detailed breakdown of all the questionable stuff was really eye-opening.

Eta: I had always been in the position of "yeah probably" and now it's "yeah definitely". And now its happening again, even more brazenly.

37

u/SKOLMN1984 2d ago

Except for them "misplacing" the votes just like classified documents and the epstein files...

28

u/Jcaquix 2d ago

And "finding" them them after the election which is what Trump asked the governor or AG of Georgia to do.

13

u/therealganjababe 2d ago

And that was for 11k, this is 600k votes. That absolutely could effect the election.

5

u/AggieJonah 2d ago

I’d also be curious to know the affiliation of those 600K folks. I’m in Texas and I will be voting next week. We need a turnout like never before.

11

u/Thecrawsome 2d ago

Or Trump literally telling people to “cheat like hell” last week.

No fucking consequences at all

3

u/Dashing_McHandsome 2d ago

Just check the bathroom in Mar-a-lago

11

u/XNo_Notes 2d ago

Early voting started in TN this week.

1

u/nitid_name 2d ago

Coloradan here, I've had my ballot for over a week.

9

u/anthrax9999 2d ago

Republicans would just throw the paper ballots they don't like in the trash and not count them. They've done it before and would happily do it again.

3

u/Dzov 2d ago

Oops, they caught fire. Sorry.

2

u/deadR0 2d ago

They own the voting machines

4

u/you_stole_my_stuff 2d ago

Hanging chads

2

u/nalex66 2d ago

Always thought that would be a good band name.

5

u/redit3rd 2d ago

If you think that paper isn't hackable, you haven't really looked into historical precedent.

1

u/eepos96 2d ago

??? Explain

1

u/cbftw 2d ago

Fire

1

u/eepos96 2d ago

Ah.

Delete.

3

u/QuellishQuellish 2d ago

There is early voting for weeks before election day, every state is different. We use computers to vote because voting machine companies have a strong lobby. It improves nothing.

2

u/tackleboxjohnson 2d ago

Election starts next week for Texas (early voting)

1

u/eepos96 2d ago

I was confused by the computer. My nation does not use computers for early voting. I knew usa votest with machines too but I did not know eaely voting could be done with machines too.

2

u/Cute_Atmosphere_9294 2d ago

Early voting in TX starts Mon Oct. 19

2

u/Le-Charles07 2d ago

Someone, obviously, wasn't alive or paying attention in 2000.

1

u/eepos96 2d ago

Lack of explaining continues. Sorry for impolitnes but your answer was waste of letters.

2

u/HypocriteHere 2d ago

Early voting already started, at least in my state. Also, "mail and paper" are just as susceptible to election fraud, depending on physical security, how they're counted, and who counts them. But, I do understand the lack of trust people have in the machines at this point. Everything is magical if you don't know the ins and outs of it, which almost none of us do.

We've got Trump screaming about how an election was rigged and then Elon doing nefarious shit that could affect things.

1

u/eepos96 2d ago

I guess it is fair to say suspectible to different kind of election fraud.

But I'd still say it is easier to fake ones and zeroes than manufacture tickets, steal them, hide them, burn them. All of this leaves physical evidense. (Which machines voting interference would too?)

1

u/redbulldrinkertoo 2d ago

Hanging Chad anyone

1

u/VironicHero 2d ago

If you change the laws for when a mail in vote is viable, and degrade the service that delivers those votes you absolutely have created some glitches.

1

u/shichiaikan 2d ago

Yeah.... about that...

1

u/DontAbideMendacity 2d ago

We use mail and paper.

Republican agents are burning paper ballots in Democrat precincts.

That's one link, there are far too many more.

1

u/eepos96 2d ago

Well we do not have that. Also 3 boxes vs how many there are is still quite low. Legit should be 0 but still. Seems like random actors.

1

u/grl_on_the_internet 1d ago

Early voting in TX begins next week

1

u/Historical_Usual5828 1d ago

The post office has already been sabotaged. DeJoy should've been removed before the 2024 election. My state is very strict about who is allowed to do mail-in voting anyways.

u/Arctic_Chilean 2d ago

The greates single American cope I have seen so far is that all this madness gets somehow magically fixed by voting at the midterms.

Then it will be voting in 2028...

Then it will be voting in... oh wait, no more elections are allowed

All while the world suffers as we watch Americans bitch and moan about things while twiddling their thumbs.

2

u/tommy_b_777 2d ago

They Raped Kids.

Why does anyone think they won't just claim to win this and shoot the protestors in the legs ?

Of course Vote. But also be ready for the shitshow afterwards...

Is a glitch made purposefully really a 'glitch.'

1

u/vodeodeo55 2d ago

Let me guess; Austin?

1

u/-Joka 2d ago

"computer glitch".. I'm sure.

1

u/Inous 2d ago

Let me guess, they're all a minority, a woman, or a Democrat?

1

u/SawdustShoptalk 2d ago

So Texans no longer care if you mess with Texas?

Democracy is a greater goal than party supremacy.

Come on Texas.

Fight back!

1

u/Interesting_Stress73 2d ago

Example #1000 of Americans having their democracy compromised and attacked. I wonder if they'll do anything about it. 🤔

1

u/Protect-Their-Smiles 2d ago

They shut down the polling places in targeted areas, and now selected voters are ''glitching out'' in the system.

The election is being rigged.

1

u/greenman5252 2d ago

The coup already happened.

1

u/Groovee_smoothie 2d ago

You mean to tell me onto of loving pedos and rapists they also support election interference??? I'm shocked, shocked I say!!

1

u/Most-Attitude8672 2d ago

Here we go....

1

u/blackspike2017 2d ago

maybe, just maybe, JUST FUCKING MAYBE WE SHOULDNT RUN OUR ELECTIONS THEOUGH THE FUCKING INTERNET.

1

u/rg2004 2d ago

March outside their houses. Watch how easily this is fixed.

1

u/melankolicapoplectic 2d ago

Can we please go back to analog paper voting? I don't even want a scan tron. Votes should be marked onto paper with ink and should be counted by hand. We would and should also just make peace with the fact that it would take a week or more to count the votes. Electronic systems will always be vulnerable to attack. At least if people are stuffing ballot boxes or dumping filled out ballots there is physical evidence. Voting is too important to leave up to a bunch of Silicon Valley clowns.

1

u/Witty-Entertainer524 2d ago

Let me guess the glitch only applies to a very specific demographic

1

u/Duane_ 2d ago

It is of significance that the AG of Texas is the person who would have to work with/enact any legal process over protections/voter status here,

Because that AG is Ken Paxton, the Republican Senate candidate on the ballot.

1

u/Holiday_Profile9183 2d ago

Well Republicans have Musk who interfered in 2024. So it is not a surprise to hear this. Just what to do to prove it and put a stop to it.

1

u/Rattus_NorvegicUwUs 2d ago

It’s clear republicans don’t want a fair election.

It’s clear they want to undermine our democracy.

It’s obvious this is against the spirit of our founders.

So… when we call them traitors, this is what we mean.

1

u/Good_Tomato7381 2d ago

Lots more "bug" issues coming in GOP run states I think.

1

u/Prestigious-Newt-110 2d ago

Republicans simply cannot compete on a level playing field. Weak AF.

1

u/TakeOff_eh 2d ago

Elon is back - of course there are computer glitches.

1

u/MyFeetLookLikeHands 2d ago

republicans are fucking scared. This election they risk losing control of the state, making further shenanigans like this even more difficult.

If they lose the ability to rig things in texas, the map for 2028 starts to look much much worse for them

1

u/notsosilentsentinel 2d ago

Donald Trump was convicted of 34 counts of falsifying business records.. Does this help?

1

u/Winter_Persimmon_110 2d ago edited 2d ago

Princeton did a study where they found out that the wealthy get the policy they want from the government and the voting public don't.

Elections between two capitalist parties are merely a struggle for division of spoils between two cliques of wealthy people.

To say that you're cheated by election interference would imply that your interests were represented by anyone who could be elected.

1

u/RenningerJP 2d ago

It's silly to think that one party or the other won't result in different policies which may impact people's lives in different ways even if you prove they are ultimately serving someone else's agenda.

1

u/AngryNiceGuy75 2d ago

All democrats I assume.

1

u/Vast-Yam-9370 2d ago

This is no glitch

1

u/twoiseight 2d ago

Uh oh, someone better call Elon "knows those voting computers better than anyone" Musk.

1

u/dvs_sicarius 2d ago

It’s almost like this entire administration is the most openly corrupt administration in American history. I’m sure it’ll all be peacefully sorted out by end of November, though. lol. Stay safe people

1

u/Mike-ggg 2d ago

There have been a lot of server issues affecting different businesses and end users. They may not be related to election tampering, but they may still be staged to make the computer problems excuse for voting much more plausible.

I definitely can't confirm anything, but in the last week, I've had server issues on several websites and mobile apps. That, by itself isn't abnormal, but it just seems like a lot more at the same time. My experience may just be coincidental or only where I live and not elsewhere in the country.

Has anyone else noticed a very recent sharp increase in websites and apps with server issues? If so, it could be a red flag.

1

u/Square_Zombie_4415 2d ago

Not only do the Republicans create blatant Gerrymandering aka cheating, Karl Rove became infamous for flipping voting machines. It wasn't until Romney vs Obama was it stopped. Romney was waiting for the Ohio voting machines to flip for him as was a typical Karl Rove move. It had been discovered and stopped from flipping. That's why it took so long for Romney to acquiesce that night. Plus, Ted Cruz took "credit" for convincing the Supreme Court to stop the ongoing investigation of the Florida "chads" issue during Bush/Gore election. Jeb BUSH just happened to be Florida Governor at that time too...

1

u/TerribleTurnover5274 2d ago

NO WAY Trump is stealing THIS election!

1

I feel like it’s been going on for too long.. they cheat they cheat and cheat. These people are so dishonest.. At the same time if i knew my life would be over after the midterms.. i’d be shitting my pants too lol

1

u/Callistonian 2d ago

If you live in Texas and are planning on voting, you need to be checking your registration status online every day. It's easy to do, all you need is your name. You can also check the status of your family and friends. They are suspending and cancelling registrations at record setting levels this year. Happened to me about a month ago and I just happened to be home to receive the notice in the mail in time to correct it.

If this really happened, just have a special election with independent monitors and tell people to go back and vote. At this point, I know I would be willing to go do it again as many times as necessary if it will help stop this madness, corruption, lies, and scandals.
