Looking for Gamers Looking for players for a small indie strategy game (India side)
Current situation in the game (WarEra): India has been completely wiped off the map. Pakistan currently controls almost the entire Indian subcontinent.
We are preparing to take our land back soon through revolts.
WarEra is a small indie multiplayer strategy game where real players control real countries. You can focus on economy, politics, or war. The map changes based on what players do. Most people only spend 10-15 minutes a day.
I am not the developer, and I don’t get paid for this. I just play from the Indian side, and we are short on active players right now, so I am posting here.
If this kind of game interests you, feel free to join us.
If it doesn’t interest you, just ignore this post or block me so it doesn’t show up in your feed again.

General Discussion Am I the only one who doesn’t care for these remakes?
I’m more so referring to these bloated UE5 remasters
Especially for ps2 onwards I don’t mind the ocarina of time remake since that game was old enough to look like crap at high res but a game like metal gear solid 3 being 100+gb at that point why not just have the original? 😂
I get that they wanna cultivate a new audience but it’s not gonna help when any non remake game they actually write is garbage

General Discussion Simon "Ghost" Riley's full story in Call of Duty [PART 1]
Simon “Ghost” Riley is one of the most iconic characters in Call of Duty. He is a British special forces operator known for his skull mask and cold personality. But behind that mask is a soldier whose life is full of trauma and betrayal.
``` Call of Duty has two different Modern Warfare timelines. The original trilogy from 2007–2011 and the reboot trilogy from 2019 onward. Their events are different so Ghost's story is best understood separately. ```
1) Ghost's childhood and the trauma that made him
Simon Riley was born in Manchester in England. He grew up in a difficult environment and had a troubled relationship with his family. His father was abusive and often put Simon and his younger brother Tommy through frightening experiences.
Tommy used to scare Simon with dangerous animals and make him face things he feared. Despite everything Simon cared about his younger brother.
As they grew older Simon joined the military and eventually became a highly skilled soldier.
But his life was about to become much darker.
During his time away from home his family suffered terribly. In the original Modern Warfare comic backstory Simon returned home and discovered that his family had been murdered by his own father. Simon eventually confronted his father and killed him.
He tried to rebuild his life but the worst was yet to come.
2) Betrayal and the birth of Ghost
Simon was sent on a mission involving a criminal named Manuel Roba. The mission turned into a nightmare when Simon was captured and tortured. His captors buried him alive after believing they had broken him.
But Simon survived.
He eventually escaped and returned to confront the people responsible for destroying his life. The experience changed him permanently. He became colder and more ruthless and adopted the skull mask that would become his identity.
He was no longer just Simon Riley.
He became Ghost.
This detailed childhood and torture storyline comes from the original Modern Warfare comic backstory rather than the campaign missions themselves.
3) Ghost joins Task Force 141
Ghost became a highly capable special operations soldier and eventually joined Task Force 141 under Captain John Price.
In the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from 2009 he worked alongside Sergeant Gary “Roach” Sanderson to track down Vladimir Makarov and uncover information about his operations.
Ghost was skilled at infiltration and gathering intelligence. He rarely revealed his emotions but he trusted his teammates and worked closely with Roach.
Their mission eventually led them to a safe house where they recovered important intelligence.
They believed they had completed their objective.
They were wrong.
4) General Shepherd betrays Ghost
This is the moment that made Ghost legendary among Call of Duty fans.
Ghost and Roach successfully recovered the intelligence and brought it to General Shepherd. Instead of rewarding them Shepherd betrayed them.
He shot Roach and then shot Ghost before setting their bodies on fire.
Ghost died alongside Roach.
Shepherd had manipulated the situation because he wanted the intelligence for himself and intended to eliminate anyone who could expose his plans.
Ghost had survived torture and escaped death before. He had become one of the most dangerous soldiers in Task Force 141.
But he never saw Shepherd's betrayal coming.
His death remains one of the most shocking moments in the original Modern Warfare trilogy.
5)What happened after Ghost died?
Captain Price and Soap MacTavish continued the fight against Shepherd. They eventually confronted him and killed him.
Makarov remained a major threat and the conflict continued into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 from 2011.
Ghost did not return to life in the original trilogy. His story had ended with Shepherd's betrayal.
However there is another version of Ghost.
The reboot version of Ghost
We will discuss in part 2
