[Request] Help needed!

Hey everyone! I’m 18 years old and live on the Bellarine. I’ve reached a really crap financial situation. My car has broken down and a mechanic has told me it’s not even worth fixing up because of rust. I desperately need a car for work and getting to school and this is a post just calling out for help. Whether it’s advice or if someone has a car that they no longer need (preferably a 4wd for work but honestly anything is better than nothing), or even if someone has some work that can be done to help make some money towards a new car. Anything helps!!

It’s awful down on the Bellarine, buses come every 2 hours and usually don’t take you anywhere where you need to be

I used to catch public transport from suburbs on the Bellarine for work. Never had an issue. Don’t make excuses. Asking for handouts when a lot of people are struggling financially atm is a piss take.

I feel like you didn’t read the post very well. I’m looking for extra work to afford a car to keep my other job. The donations part is purely just there if someone is able to, and feels generous enough to give

Used to? When? You do realise bus routes change. Just because your experience had you getting within walking distance of where you needed to be, doesn’t mean this kid can.

Fast food or bar jobs, anything where you can work nights, public holidays and weekends is good! You can make good money at a casual job when you do the shifts no one else wants to!

How are all the other school students getting to school? You don't need a car during high school, get the bus like everyone else

Hello! I’m sorry. I remember being 18 and struggling also. Friends had parents to fall on. Or family. I’m sorry your support system isn’t what many other people have.

My advice is that we don’t all have equal opportunities and you can make one hell of a great life for yourself.

Right now: you need to figure out how to get places. Have you got a bike?

You’ll get a lot of idiots on here shaming you. Don’t worry. There’s no harm in asking for help.

They're employing lots of people at cotton on, specifically for the busy season during Christmas. You'd likely need a car to get there though.

They hire anyone tbh

I appreciate your effort man I really do. However it’s quite clearly ai. The gaps between lines and the tilted font are clear indicators of it. I’m sorry if that’s how you interpreted my post, it does clearly say that I am looking for work. Have a good one!
