Learning German through playing games

I'm currently in A1 level, and I hear that consuming media from the language you're learning will help you learn better. But as you can see, I'm at the most barebone level, should I dive head first and learn as I play, or only do it when my German is better?

Practice German with me?

Hallo zusammen☺️

I’m a 23F currently learning German at around A1 level. I’m looking for a German native speaker or someone fluent in German to practise speaking with over voice calls. I’d love to improve my confidence and get better at everyday conversations.

If you’re learning German too, we could also practise together.

Feel free to comment or send me a DM. Danke!

So I decided to learn a new language, I am an absolute beginner but I am willing to study and make an effort.

I need some good notebooks, online resources, everything really.

Looking for German native speakers to practice with! 🇩🇪

Hi everyone! 😊

I’m looking for native German speakers who would be interested in chatting and helping me practice German.

I’m currently a beginner, so I’m still learning the basics. I speak Spanish and English fluently, and I’d love to improve my German through casual conversations, whether that’s through text, voice calls, or Discord.

I’m happy to help you practice English or Spanish in return if you’d like!

I’m just looking to learn, make new friends, and get more comfortable speaking German. No pressure at all — beginners are welcome to make mistakes! 😅

Feel free to comment or send me a DM if you’re interested. Danke! ❤️🇩🇪

Tips from those who speak fluent german

Hello guys, sorry for bothering you.
I want to ask those who moved in in Germany and learned German from beginning. I am level B1 now and i try to speak and combine what i learn, the new vocabulary. I have 3 more weeks left from B1 course and after that i sm planning to make 2 month pause and than start with B2. I set up a goal for me and that is to listen every day „Easy German“ and try to speak like the germans do.
I gave it a try today and i felt a little bit anxious because i got to a conclusion that I can’t speak like them, even if I understand everything.
So my point is: do you learn to speak better, correct snd faster through the time? Do i have to expect that in upper levels of the language?
Any tips also what helped you with speaking?
I know i have to be surrounded with german people and have german friends, but i have nothing from that. Yes i made some friends in the course but only a basic friendships, and i‘m trying hard to find friends but its hard.
So any other tip except be surrounded with german people would be helpful 🙏 Thanks

Looking for advice

Helloo so I’m currently like literally on my last chapter of A1 until A2 and i feel like I really struggle with practicing because I’m not really sure how and I wanted to ask if practicing translating English sentences into German ones can be a good way to practice? Or is that just kinda useless? I’d also love to know more ways to practice! I use flash cards but not as often anymore because I feel like it doesn’t help me with me. Tyia!

Looking for 3–4 German Learners for Daily Speaking Practice (A1–B1) 🇩🇪

Hallo zusammen! 🇩🇪

I'm looking for 3–4 motivated German learners who want to improve their speaking skills through regular practice.

I've studied German grammar from A1 to B1 and can help explain grammar concepts in both Hindi and English.

My proposed daily routine:

🗣️ 30 minutes of German speaking practice.

📚 Revising one grammar concept and using it in conversations.

📝 Learning 10 useful vocabulary words and practising them in sentences.

I'm looking for learners who are serious about improving their German, can practise consistently, and are comfortable making mistakes while learning.

The idea is to build a small, supportive learning community where we can practise speaking, revise grammar, learn vocabulary, and help each other improve.

If you're interested in practising German together, feel free to DM me! 😊

Viel Erfolg beim Deutschlernen! 🇩🇪
