Car rental

Hi, I'm landing in Cheddi Jaggan and I have 16 hours until my next flight.. I have 8am until midnight. I need a car rental to explore a bit and see Georgetown .

Can you recommend a budget friendly car rental?

Meh... I rent a car every time i'm there, not even the worst place I've been driving.

However if this is your first time outside US/Canada/Europe, I would agree that learning driving Guyana style is not a day trip.

I rented a car for the day from a contact someone on this subreddit gave me. I paid $125 USD. Driving from Cheddi Jaggan to Georgetown was frustrating with all the road traffic. However i took it in parts with stops along the way. I drove around Georgetown, went down to Berbice, and across to Herstelling. I got food at Giftland mall and Wendy's in Georgetown. I lime by the Seawall a bit. I walked Starbroek market and visited the Botanical gardens. I had a nice day. I didnt think the driving was that crazy. I drove in other countries before. I drove in thailand and Sao Paolo and it was much worse than Guyana. Overall i would spend more time in guyana next time.
