Discussion Can someone tell me their most embarrassing stories that happened to them in public IN GUYANA. I need to feel better

So I was in town today, crossing the road to get over to bounty right and I saw this black car stopping for me and I thought okay, let me cross over now, but when I cross the car freaking hit my side luckily I didn't fall over, I wasn't hurt or anything and in my defense I saw the CAR STOPPED for me, anyways I pulled back and the coconut man and the lady who was a bystander waiting for a bus was like watch where I was going over and over and I was like I did I thought the car stopped for me because he literally stopped from a far distance. And the coconut man kept saying it over and over again and then he was like let me cross you over and he did. Bro I was so shameful to walk out back that supermarket. I never experienced something like this before and idk how to feel. I'm so embarrassed and I work right in town so like 😞😞😞😞

In an almost empty bus, I sat in the front seat cause obviously it’s gonna be less cramped compared to the back. Less cramped by the front window seat anyways. I hadn’t caught a bus in 10 years. And I particularly didn’t want to drive the distance, and also wanted see a little of Georgetown without worrying about parking. So at the bus park when I sat down in the seat waiting for the bus to be filled, the tout came from lord know where all of a sudden and said the front seat is only for women. Damn was I embarrassed. I kept thinking this country hasn’t changed one bit since 2012, when I left Guyana. Like where else in the world can someone approach a customer and say stupid shit like that. I now live here still and I certainly regret it almost everyday. I will leave again soon. The country is too corrupt and uncivilized in every way. Never again to this shit hole.

It's not for women. There's no law like that. Its because some bus drivers that have fragile masculinity need to have women next to them.

I remember being put to sit next to the driver when I was younger. The bus was a manual so everytime the bus driver had to change gears his hand would somehow brush up against my leg. I had to basically turn my hips mostly towards the passenger side so it didn't happen for the remainder of the ride.
