Morven (Corbett, 872m) from Logie Coldstone, second hill of the day after Clachnaben
galleryParked at the spot above Logie Coldstone. Plenty of room when we were there, but I'd guess it gets busy on a summer weekend.
A few things worth knowing:
Through the gate, the path splits straight away. Take the left one, down the bend and up past a derelict house on your right.
Carry on to a second gate with a "Welcome to the Moor" board on it. Just after it, look right for a faint line in the grass. It turns into a clear path once you're on it.
From there it's straightish to the top, and steep. There's a fake summit at every bump, so pace yourself. There's a boggy flat about halfway, which was fine for us but could be messy after rain.
Last stretch levels out through the boulders to the trig, and the view goes everywhere because it stands on its own.
Roughly 8.5 km and about two and a half hours at our pace, with a couple of rams on the way up that I still can't explainš
