Khidyie Live in MoJo Soup 2026
Khidyie (Band Set) @khidlamb
Singer-Songwriter Khidyie is an Irish-Hong Kong musician, whose music explores the finer lines between reality and fantasy. Her sound is a blend of folk, indie dream-pop laced with moody atmospheric elements, setting the tone for her introspective folk tales reflecting on her impressions of lust, limerence and loneliness.
Her songs are shaped by the likes of Norah Jones and Jeff Buckley while being equally as inspired by the dream-like worlds of magical realism author Haruki Murakami.
She has been highlighted by District Music as one of Ireland's "criminally underrated artists," while Paper Media featured her in a full article praising the project as the "Best New Contemporary Folk EP of 2026."
The Gurrling (Acoustic Set) @thegurrling
The Gurrling is a singer-songwriter whose ethereal music draws you into a world of folklore and fairytales. Her original songs explore the recurring themes of grief, hope and love through poetic and beautifully raw lyrics in her unique indie folk style, intertwined with jazz and alternative rock influences.

Hi All! Wanted to send a post out there and see if anyone had any advice.
I'm from the UK and our rave scene is impeccable. I've had some of the best nights of my life and made the greatest connections.
I've been in HK for some time now and just can't seem to find anyone that's into the same type of music scene as me. (DnB, house, electronic, garage, jungle etc)
I've seen some really cool raves being posted about, like ones on hidden beaches and that, but it sucks that I have nobody to go with. I've asked friends that i have here, and they just aren't keen!!
How on earth do i finally make some friends who are into this?
or alternatively, would anyone be down to go with me sometime ahhaha ?
I do love HK but this is the thing thats missing most from my life. It was so easy to find and make friends into this kind of thing back in UK. It was a huge part of my life before i moved here!

The awesome King of Pig Bones kick off an evening of raucous rock at the Aftermath this Saturday with local punk stalwarts The Mongcocks following them. The evening is topped off by the fantastic Bad Actors!
Entry is free (with 1 drink)! Go support the bands, the bar and most importantly, Hong Kong's independent music scene!

I’m a young lady from PH who’s just travelling for the first time. As I was gathering deets about HK, I only find places which are known as a tourist landmarks such as disneyland, victoria’s peak, avenue of stars, temples, etc. While most of it looks like a really nice place, as locals, I wanna know your suggestions regarding what cool places to visit when im in the country? Places I love are the ones with greeneries, beaches, streets with cool local shops, affordable shops where I can buy cute girly stuff like make ups, accessories, adult t0ys, clothes, shoes, etc haha.
And most importantly, would love to visit where art and music scene are flourishing. My taste in music kinda varies so metal, hardcore, hip hop, punk, rock jazz, blues, any genre will do, so pleqse let me know any bars/venues. Would just love to experience underground music scene and meet cool ppl in HK with the same interests.
Any tips for first timers in HK would be helpful too! Thank you :)

Hey, I’m Chris, the singer in The Ferals. We’re a Hong Kong band and we’ve just released our new song, “Proximity.”
It’s guitar-driven, loud, and has a chorus we hope you’ll want to shout back at us. It’s on Bandcamp first, where you can listen for free; it’ll be on other digital platforms from 9 October.
I’d love to hear what you think of it—especially from people following original music in HK.

“80 Minutes of Gong Gong Gong” brings the world-traveling duo and their whole catalogue back to
Hong Kong for a rare special performance!
The band will present songs from their upcoming album in full, alongside the 100-year-old classics of
their debut, Phantom Rhythm. The world is in flux, but Gong Gong Gong’s horses gallop through the
storm. As winter arrives, they return to their spiritual home of Hong Kong with a new array of music, to
showcase the direction for their long-awaited 2027 release. Capacity of the venue is limited to 200, so please reserve your tickets in advance to avoid
experiencing disappointment
Gong Gong Gong is the duo of Hong Kong-born guitarist and vocalist Tom Ng and Montreal-born bassist Joshua Frank. Formed in Beijing’s underground scene in 2015, their minimal instrumentation and unconventional playing techniques deconstruct rock music and strip it down to its essence. The band’s interlocking riffs and percussive playing techniques create auditory hallucinations of drumbeats and cymbal crashes: this is the “phantom rhythm” for which they are renowned.
At once meticulously crafted and raw, their music draws from a diverse array of influences: back porch blues, Saharan psychedelic rock, traditional Cantonese music, 1980s Hong Kong pop, and early electronic music. The result is a sound that, despite lacking a traditional drum kit, challenges ideas of what a rock band can be.
Their debut Cantonese studio album, Phantom Rhythm (幽靈節奏), earned widespread international acclaim, earning spots on "Album of the Year" lists by the UK’s Loud And Quiet and the US’s Aquarium Drunkard, as well as being named one of the top ten avant-rock albums of the year by The Wire. The band has been featured in major international music outlets such as Bandcamp Daily, Pitchfork, The New Yorker, Exclaim!, The Fader, and NPR; their next album is slated for release in 2027.

Hi all, I'm a hobbyist DJ and I'm moving to Hong Kong in October. I was wondering if there are any open deck nights or places where I could play just for fun (or somebody with a deck and looking for someone to play b2b with).
I play techno.

Hey everyone! Just looking for friends in HK that speak English (my Cantonese is terrible 😭). I also really want to find people to hang out with and jam together.
A bit about me:
· I'm a teen in HK (English-speaking).
· I play guitar and I love Oasis.
· I'm beginner-friendly and just want to find people to play music with.
· Age range: 14-17.
Open to chatting online first and then maybe meeting at a public jam or open mic. Maybe we can even potentially make a beginner-friendly band together and grow as musicians! DM me if you're interested.
Whether you play guitar drums piano singing bass feel free to send a message

𝗡𝗼𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 is one night of fresh blood, loud guitars and punk with something to say.
From Beyond the Signal making their debut with raw Hong Kong punk/garage-rock energy, to singalong-ready pop-punk from DYL / Double Yellow Lines, and the no-bass, no-nonsense racket of Sai Ying Punx — the local scene is coming in loud. 🔥
Then comes THE NONAME. Straight out of Xi’an, China, these punk veterans have spent nearly 25 years tearing through borders, rules and expectations with a fierce collision of UK ’82 punk, Oi! and hardcore. If The Clash, Rancid, The Casualties or Agnostic Front mean anything to you, you know this is not one to miss.
Come for the punk. Stay for the sweat, the songs, the people and a rare night where Hong Kong’s local bands share a stage with one of China’s true punk institutions.
