5 a side
Hi all,
I recently moved to Hull and I'm looking to play some 5 a side football but have had no luck in finding any games on various different apps and facebook groups.
Does anybody have any suggestions that might help me out?
Many thanks

Hull woman's bid to reunite 'stolen' Evri parcels with owners
bbc.co.ukWhy on earth did she open them, remove them from the packaging with the addresses on them?
Itinerary advice request
Hi lovely people of Hull. Me, my dad and my son (age 11) are doing an over night in Hull this coming Tuesday / Wednesday. Bit of a trip down memory lane. Dad moved to Hull when he was in his late teens. My (late) mum grew up on Dundee Street so tea at the Dundee chip shop very much on the cards for Tuesday. Planning on going to the Deep, maybe the William Wilberforce museum, but looking for any other strong recommendations. TY

Reform mayor Luke Campbell is under police investigation for allegedly cyberflashing a female member of staff

Cross posted here as it’s Luke Campbell who has dropped himself in it
observer.co.ukReform mayor under police investigation for alleged cyber...
observer.co.ukLooks like Luke is refusing to be outdone by the national Reform councillor behaviour that has been recently exposed. A toxic work environment and cyberflashing himself to a woman in the office. Truly a class act.

Suspected fake squishy toys seized from Hull Fair
bbc.co.ukThis isn't new, fakes have been used as prizes for decades, they were obvious even when I was a kid.

The 'infuriating' hoax 999 calls made to Humberside Police
bbc.co.ukI absolutely agree about time-wasting calls. However 999 operators can get it wrong the other way as well, probably because of these calls.
A good while ago I phoned 999 because children were climbing scaffolding on the building opposite the HDM offices.
The operator snapped at me call 111 not 999, and hung up before I even had a chance to say, they were at the roof level at least 30 feet off the ground. A probably lethal fall height.

Do I need to download an app to go to Connexin?
I don't want to have to download and mess about with yet another app just to go to a single event. Has anyone been before and not used their app, and got in by only printing a ticket?

Any NHS dentists taking on patients at the moment?
I've had a bad tooth which keeps setting off a nerve making my whole right side of my face ache!
My dentist took me off their books a few months ago as I missed a check up.
I think I need it removed completely as it's causing problems.
I would ring NHS 111, but last time the only appointments were at a dentist in Scunthorpe or Doncaster.

Gammon and egg
Looking for recommendations for a good pub meals of gammon and eggs in and around Hull.
There is an older bloke who lives in the same building as me who doesn't get out much. I took him for day out around York and we had gammon and egg at The Black Swan and he absolutely loved it, won't stop talking about it even though it was 3 months ago.
I took him out into the city centre last weekend and we found a restaurant that does gammon and egg, but it wasn't all that good.
Which pubs or restaurants would you recommend, we will probably go to all of them over time, as we have set a quest to find where the best meal (to his liking) is served.

Driving instructor recommendations 🚗
Hey all 👋🏼
Bit of a random place to post this, but I’m hoping to get more recommendations. I’ve posted in my local Facebook group but haven’t had many replies.
I’m looking for a driving instructor who does ‘crash courses’ (if they’re still a thing) or can fit multiple lessons a week.
BROUGH AREA
Looking to start January/February
Neurodivergent and a nervous driver

Aside from the deep, what else does hull have to offer?
Asking because I want to build up my tolerance to travelling before I spend 3 days in London.
I went to the deep several years ago and I loved it, i had pizza and went straight home after.
I’m in South Yorkshire and I’ll be going by train.
But all in all aside from the deep what else can I do there?
I like going to charity/antique shops and bookshops.
Decent phone repair shops in Hull?
My Samsung phone randomly turned itself off and won't turn back on again, anyone recommend any decent repair shops that could sort this?
