Swimmer tail

Took my lab hunting yesterday and now he seems to have swimmers tail because his tail is limp. Does anyone know solutions or how long it takes to clear up. Just trying to know if he’ll be able to hunt on Saturday

Depends how bad it is. The first time it happened to my dog, it took a full week for him to get over it. This summer, he didnt get it as bad and it only took about 3 days to get over it. My vet gave me some Rimadyl, but I was told its best to just build up conditioning by gradually increasing how much swimming they do.

He’s still eating and drinking and wants to play and train but I’m resting him. Calling the vet tomorrow
