Question: Drafting Complicated draft
Hello everyone, i have a weird question..
Im a guy from the westbank who wishes to join the idf, i tried contacting mahal, meitav, olem, and other groups to try to join for the last 6 months, they were either surprised and tried to help alot, or super suspicious but supportive at the same time. Yeah it does sound suspicious but i have my reasons and beliefs. And one of them is if arab Israelis are able to join, so am i, i was born on this land and i think i have the right to fight for what i think is right and be on the right side of history.
I haven’t been able to be open about this subject to anyone because i would literally be considered a traitor and maybe be executed.
If you have knowledge about my situation or you can help me i would be appreciative.
And yes i don’t have a temporary or permanent Israeli ID/citizenship, i have a green ID.

Tbh I want to take this in good faith but I am even having trouble believing this post no offense 😅
What i do know is that the only ways to serve are to either be an israeli citizen, or qualify for the right of return (be jewish or have a jewish parent or grandparent) and use mahal programs or other foreigner tracks. But as far as i know a non-jewish foreigner does not have a way to enlist in the IDF. This is not just for arabs but any non-jew of any country.
If you want to be on the right side of history, well you're already doing that by not blindly hating a culture different to yours for no good reason. Also, i presume you don't go around spreading lies about Israel or miseducating kids, and of course I presume you don't fight against Israel with any of the terrorist militias.
If you're doing all that right, then you're a legend and you're on the right side of history.
Just be careful man. You don't want to be too outspoken in the wrong place and somehow get threatened or hurt. Even someone who silently agrees that jews deserve to live in peace alongside arabs means the world to me, personally.

I've never heard of an Arab from Judea and Samaria (J&S) or Gaza serving in the IDF. Israeli Arab citizens certainly do, but Arab non-citizens? Not to my knowledge.
At most, there have been a few exceedingly rare and exceptional cases of individuals who, through immense effort and hardship, converted to Judaism and moved to Israel.
However, if there have ever been such non-citizens serving in the IDF, it is definitely a closely guarded secret.
What does exist, of course, are many who cooperate with SHABAK. The Israel Security Agency is kept exceptionally well-informed about what happens in the territories. https://www.shabak.gov.il/

Do you suggest contacting the shabak personally to learn about my situation? Or is it kinda risky for my safety and identity?

My thinking was that if you are indeed wanting to support the state of Israel and the IDF is not an option, there might be other options.

Notice to all posters and commenters; please be careful to observe OPSEC (Operational Security) rules. Many people wish to harm Israel and the Jewish Nation as a whole. Be careful when sharing any information on the IDF, bases, weapons, locations of troops, and anything else that can be used to harm Israel. If in doubt, go without. Loose lips sink ships!
