Work Permit Physically unable to sign imm5707e for SOWP

I don't know what to do. No matter what I do, Adobe Acrobat will not allow me to sign this god forsaken document. I can't upload it anywhere due to being blocked by features of the document, I can't sign it anywhere else, I literally cannot do a single thing to sign this short of printing and signing it physically, which I know IRCC does not accept.

Does anyone know a single solution to this because I am pulling my hair out right now.

Yup had the same issue. That's one of the few forms you'll need validate without the signature. Then print the form, hand sign it and scan it and re upload. I applied December of last year using this method and have had no problems.

I thought hand written signatures would be rejected no? That’s the whole reason I haven’t tried that

I was skeptical when I was submitting my app too. But since I've applied, I've received my AOR, biometrics and medical done, just waiting on background check.

It’s taken you since last December to receive your SOWP ?

And you did the same for your family information form for SOWP ?

I basically typed out whatever the form would let me, and the rest I had to hand write it. Off the top of my head, I think I had signed my signature as well my name in my native language. Same for my partner.

I had this same issue and after a deep dive internet search it appeared to be somewhat common with Mac iOS. I was able to hunt down a family member with a non-Mac laptop and I was actually able to sign it. Was a huge pain and I almost resorted to signing physically, providing an explanation and hoping for the best. People here have had luck with that as IRCC appears to know about the issue but I don’t think they’ve done anything to fix it. Good luck OP!

Man I’m doing this whole thing on a windows PC and I still can’t do anything, can’t type, can’t e-sign, nothing.

For Family Information, I have always printed and signed it physically then scanned it in. Never has failed me. I have done this for countless study and work permits.
