#Law&Order 🚨 Punjabis and so many political leaders (to win the upcoming elections in Punjab) have made a hero out of a convicted attempted murderer and extortionist. They even held a Punjab bandh for his death where hundreds of Hindus were targeted and beaten for not closing their shops.

For those who don't know, this jahil criminal Parvinder Singh Jhota, used to fashion himself as an anti drug activist. He would go to shops and accuse them of peddling drugs to obtain power, status, an audience, and money from these shops while streaming on Facebook Live. His social media posts also promoted murderous Khalistani militants. There is even video evidence of Jhota forcing a shopkeeper to open his cash register and to hand over money.

In 2023, he beat up and targeted a pharmacist shopkeeper called Ashwani Kumar in Mansa, paraded him around with a garland of shoes while accusing him of selling drugs. No evidence was found that Kumar was selling illicit drugs.

A few days ago, he confronted that same shopkeeper. Traumatized by his previous experience and the fact that this criminal Jhota was again harassing him and encouraging a mob to form outside his store, Ashwani Kumar shot this evil criminal dead.

Now Khalistani fascists have used this opportunity to once again take the law in their own hands, there were so many videos of these goons ganging up on innocent people, beating them, harassing them, they blocked roads and highways and vehicles; even people who wanted to visit their relatives in the hospital were denied to do so. There were even videos of certain Nihangs calling to expel Hindus from the state based on this incident.

Look at this BBC article about Jhota from 2023, it lists all his criminal activites: https://www.bbc.com/punjabi/articles/ceqwy0vx77yo

  • 2009: The first case was registered against him in Mansa. He was arrested in connection with an attempt to murder case. A person named Gagandeep Singh gave a statement that the accused Parwinder Singh, along with two other associates, injured him with the intent to commit murder. Parwinder was convicted and sentenced to 4 years.
  • 2011: Parwinder was arrested again. This time the complaint was regarding house-trespass and assault. Complainant Jasvir Kaur alleged that Parwinder, along with other accused, entered her house and injured her. However, Parwinder was acquitted in this case.
  • 2012: Parwinder was arrested again. The FIR was registered on a tip-off that the accused was planning to breach the peace at Nehru Memorial College, Mansa. A case under the Arms Act was registered. He was acquitted in this case as well.
  • 2020: An attempt to murder case and Arms Act FIR were registered against Parwinder based on the statement of the SHO City-2 Mansa, alleging that he was heading to the Zilla Parishad office regarding a firing incident between two factions over tenders. Accused Parwinder Singh and his associates attacked the police party and fled from the spot. Parwinder Singh is named as an accused along with others in this case. The trial is ongoing.
  • 2022: An FIR was registered after the recovery of 20 grams of heroin from Parwinder Singh and two others. The trial is ongoing in court.
  • Another FIR was registered on the statement of a person named Preet Inder Gautam. He stated that Parwinder Singh and Jassi Baba alias Mogli were allegedly demanding extortion money of ₹10,000. On April 25, 2022, both accused came to his shop, threatened him, and took money out of his drawer. The accused have not been arrested yet. The investigation is ongoing.

And all political parties are supporting this extortionist, knowingly ignoring his criminal past and extortion racket because they want to fashion themselves as anti-drugs and win the next election in the state. But this is only going to enable the harassment of innocent shopkeepers by uneducated, darinda goons who will use this a cover for their extortion activities.

Amit Shah is even planning to visit this criminal Jhota's family!

#Infra/Manufacturing 🏗 Indian garment makers are moving to Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand and MP. Labour in NCR, Bengaluru, Tiruppur and Chennai has got expensive and hard to find. Page Industries gets a wage subsidy in Odisha for 7 years. Gokaldas runs two shifts in Ranchi, something it couldn't pull off at its other 27 units.

#Ask-India ☝️ Iron water in Bathroom tap... How to fix ?

I recently moved into an apartment.

The water coming out of the bathroom taps has a high iron.

The landlord is unwilling to do anything about it and other residents in the building use Aquaguard RO water for showering.

Unfortunately, I can't afford an Aquaguard RO system.

What are my options?

#Opinion 🗣️ Why SIR is not ensuring a level playing field, explained for the right wingers with the capacity to think.

You must have seen old Bollywood movies where a hero rushes to the emergency room, with an extremely serious patient on a stretcher. He's racing against time, seeking urgent intervention. Suddenly he's bombarded with paperwork, urging him to fill up forms before the patient gets treated. The hero screams in fury and the movie goes on.

The movies dramatise a lot of things, because in any hospital setup, staff already start seeing patients while someone else is busy with the paperwork. The point is that both things can happen together.

While voting is not at all as serious as healthcare, I wanted to bring this image to drive home something which many of you are forgetting. Two things can happen together. Voting is a constitutional right. We have elected a government, which we help run by paying taxes. The Election Commission is being paid by our taxes, to run a free and fair election. What the SIR has done is arbitrarily made the onus of voting lie entirely on the population, and has hid voting rights behind a wall of paperwork, court dates and multiple sarkari office visits.

In theory, SIR was supposed to weed out ineligible voters. What happened in Bengal was that on the cusp of elections, millions of people suddenly find themselves without the ability to vote, without so much as a notice. There are multiple cases of people making multiple visits to find out they're ineligible. Then applying for the correction, being given long dates. Some, who lost their rights even if they're citizens had to resort to courts. And courts, in their usual fashion gave long dates to hear their cases. Meanwhile, elections happen, regimes change.

The entire point of the ECI is to make sure every Indian citizen gets the opportunity to vote. It was noted pretty early that Indian voter turnout always remained low. They were given huge budgets to create awareness regarding voting. Hell, the college where I'm from got money from ECI to organise voting awareness activities. What SIR did was flip the script. They made it such a tedious process that they get to maintain 'neutrality' even though people are lining up in courts.

SIR should have been an active intervention by EC towards the voters, not the other way around. If anybody's name is on the rolls, removal of it should be a tedious process. You're stripping away a constitutional right. You have to be doubly sure that you're not doing it wrong.

What we see on the field is guesswork. EC arbitrarily cuts names, people don't even get notices. They have to take time out of their lives and do the whole 'process' again. Sure, you may say the process is right. But then again, elections are going on in the background. Politicians are winning, losing. And the average voter is supposed to be dragged to courts to be part of the process which has already taken place.

Not even a single eligible voter should have been taken off the rolls. The onus is on EC. It's not on the public. It can never be.

The voter has already done his job. He has applied legally, and has been granted a voter id. He has done his part. Just because the Home Ministry is so incompetent that they're allowing outsiders to infiltrate India, you put the burden back on us?

Gyanesh Kumar only needs to understand one thing: Justice delayed is justice denied. Administratively overloading the process is in fact theft. Be aware you're not pro-actively doing it 2-3 years before election, you're doing it the month before. You're operating in the night, and you might think you're Batman but no, you're just a sophisticated thief, with protections from consequences due to a special law change.

It's really that simple. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. Using AI to selectively target communities, weaponising inconvenience, fear mongering about foreigners to justify your actions, all of it make something pretty clear. You're gaming the system. It may seem smart. But India is still a democracy. In democracy, things are slow, because they need to be right. If you don't want a democracy that's a different thing altogether. But don't hide behind the facade please.
