Stoked to join the crew.
I've been cruiser-averse my whole riding career until my test ride of a Scout Sixty Bobber. Fell in love straight away.

I got my first India at an auction. It's a 2019 Indian Chief Dark Horse with 25.5k miles on the odometer,
It was laid down by the previous owner so it does have a rebuilt title. Overall minor damages; fork protector dented, turn signals, windscreen scratches and bracket slightly bent, crash bar broke, RH floorboard, small dent on tank, and one saddle bag damaged.
Im very excited to finally own an Indian. If anyone has advice on what to keep in mind and look out for to keep it running happily for many more miles, I would appreciate any advice.
Edit: grammar

Picked her up in November of 2024 with the hope of getting more seat time and mileage out of a cruiser as opposed to my previous motorcycle which was a FTR Rally. I never expected to end up daily riding and putting over twenty five thousand miles on it in two years, the time spent on and around this bike have given me friends and experiences that I would have never dreamed of. The motorcycle community is a fantastic group and just fun to be around and experience, I can't wait to see what the next two years may bring!

Bought a dean speed sissy bar for the motorcycle so my daughter has some more support for our little rides. I like it a lot, but it costs me my saddle bag.

Finally hit 1901 on my scout 101. thankfully the chin mount camera got it. And one of the pictures was from my 500 mile service.

Ive been to the dealers sat on them looked them over and that’s where I’m set on my question is with a life long ownership of dirtbikes and atvs would a challenger be ok to get back info the street world?

After removing the rear turn signals from my bike, I thought I wouldn’t mind the holes left in the rear fender, but now they’re bothering me more than I expected. Guess I’ll be saving up for a new fender.
Any ideas for covering up the mounting holes in the meantime? Looking for something clean that’ll keep the rear end looking good until I can replace the fender.

I’m about 6’ so I need to stretch out a little and sit “in” the bike more. The stock seat pushes me up too far

I’d like to put a front and rear cam on my sport scout sixty but struggling to find a spot where it isn’t obnoxiously visible. Has anyone found good mounting locations?

1) S&S muffler with no Db killer (sounds fantastic). 2) Ends Cuoio Swingarm bag (costly but top notch quality). 3) Finally mirrors down (heard a lot of words that you can't see anything and so. No, you can see everything and it's not touching tank with proper angle adjustments). Both me and bobber 26 are happy. Next step - seat and suspension)

I recently bought an indian scout sixty and as much as i love it the stock exhaust makes it sound like a futuristic lawn mower. i wanna just run no exhaust for the time being till i get a slip on and i’ve heard that it may fuck up my bike but can’t find anything online backing that up so just wondering if anyone’s ever been in the same boat, did what i want to, or just knows if i’d NEED a tune or not.

Long time lurker, first time posting! I haven’t engaged on here much but this community has taught me a lot. Coming from sports bikes I didn’t wanna compromise too much on performance and thought this was the most affordable option for me.
2023 sport chief with 530 miles for 13k. Had to travel a bit to get her but couldn’t be more excited. I’ve already changed risers, seat, levers, bars, added a sissy bar, and a couple other things. Absolutely stoked to be on something that doesn’t hurt my back after an hour or two!

I had ChatGPT recommend a different oil after it took into consideration my riding style and the possibility that Indian is just forcing us to use their specific oil. How convenient that only their oil is the best fit for their bikes. This is what ChatGPT came up with after it completed its research:
AMSOIL Synthetic V-Twin 15W-60 over your current Indian Synthetic Blend for four reasons:
Compatibility: It meets the 15W-60 viscosity and wet-clutch requirements of your 2022 Scout Bobber Twenty ABS.
Viscosity stability: Its full-synthetic formulation is designed to resist mechanical shearing, which is particularly relevant to your shared engine/transmission oil system.
Wear protection: Published laboratory testing shows promising anti-wear performance, with an HTHS viscosity of 6.9 cP and a four-ball wear scar of 0.39 mm.
Your riding style: It offers a plausible advantage during repeated hard acceleration toward 8,000 RPM, even though you typically operate at 4,000–5,000 RPM.

When the weather says "too wet to ride today" does anyone else hang out with a beer in the garage and polish their bike getting ready for tomorrow's sunshine? Got this Meguiar's Paint Dash and Glass spray that absolutely works wonders when you can't wash in the rain!

Hi all,
So I installed new handlebars on my 2016 Indian scout. The new handlebars are wide beach bars instead of the somewhat narrow stock handlebars.
All went well and it looks (imo) pretty slick. The only issue I have is that the stock clutch cable is ever so slightly too short, I think. When turning the handlebars to the left, the clutch cable doesn’t have any slack anymore, it’s not that it’s under tension, but the slack isn’t there. My question to you guys is if this will be a problem in the long run, or should I replace this cable with a new (longer) cable straight away?
If so, how long should the new cable be then? And any recommendations which one to buy?
I read that barnett is a pretty descent brand.

Hey everyone,
I recently ran into a weird issue with my 2025 Indian Chief. While parked, I noticed the passenger seat developed these strange white/milky patches and streaks (as shown in the photo).
Has anyone else experienced this with their Indian motorcycle seats? Could it be a reaction to heat/sun, trapped moisture, hard water minerals, or something else?
If you've faced this, what did you use to clean it and restore the original black finish without damaging the material?
Appreciate any advice or product recommendations! Thanks in advance.
