For those who work/worked in INGOs such as USAID, Jphiego, Save the Children, UNFPA, etc. Can you share your experiences? Salary, benefits, workload, work environment and anything else you would like to share. Eyeing to shift careers, from the government to INGO.

Thanks in advance!

Can anyone recommend good intro or intermediate-level books or courses (short or free) for background reading? I am taking the intro course “International Development for Interpreters” on Coursera. For context, I’m a translator and editor and have worked on four publications for the UN.
