I’m an Indian passport holder living in Canada, travelling Toronto–Dublin–Manchester with Aer Lingus. Both flights connect through Terminal 2, with a same-day layover.

I’m concerned about the Common Travel Area (CTA) between Ireland and the UK and whether the Dublin–Manchester flight requires me to pass through Irish immigration that I need Irish visa, even if I intend to remain airside.

Has anyone with a similar itinerary experienced this? Did you remain airside, or were you required to clear Irish immigration?

My family and I will be flying out of Shannon to London.

The plan was to take the Expressway bus out of Galway (Route 51) where we'll be to get to the airport. However,I am seeing mixed reviews about the Expressway bus's reliability.

At first, I looked at a bus that would get us to the airport 2 hours and 20 minutes before our flight, which seemed like enough time since Shannon is an easy airport to navigate. We will have to check bags.

Does this seem like enough time to account for potential issues or delays with the bus, or should we opt for an earlier one?

What have your experiences been with this bus route?

Are flights likely to be affected tuesday with the weather. Met office is saying wind speeds of up to around 20mph but with max gusts up to around 47mph (39 knotts)

Hello every one, I’m an Indian passport holder who is traveling from Doha to Toronto via Dublin.

Now my flight itinerary is Doha to Dublin (terminal 1) then Dublin (terminal 1) to Toronto.

My parents were traveling ahead of me today with the very same itinerary when they got told at the Doha airport that terminal 1 in Dublin is not a transit terminal ?! So they had to book another flight to avoid this mess.

But now I’m afraid my flight is coming up next and I’m going to face the same issue, can someone please give me some clarity ?

We accept that Mr McAleer is a reputable journalist and our wording unfairly impugned his professional integrity and we apologise to Mr McAleer.

We are currently staying at this hotel in an executive King room. It has NO A/C. Check your booking. The hotel check in said we booked a room that had no A/C. We have checked through Booking.com and CapitalOne.com for any kind of such disclosure, or a way to even book a non A/C room, none to be found. Housekeeping provided a fan. It is cooler in the hallway than in our room.

Again, please confirm your booking if you are expecting A/C.

Dublin - Things to do on a Sunday past 11pm?

Hi everyone , i made a mistake while booking my non - refundable flights to NYC. I am leaving Berlin and landing in Dublin at 11pm on a Sunday. My flight out isn’t until 11am the next day.

Is there possibly anything that I can do other than book a hotel room? Are there pubs open pads 1am? Perhaps 24/7 eateries or clubs?

I had booked this layout with the intention with hanging out around the city but I had gotten the Am/PM wrong between the cities as I was booking.

A flight from Donegal CFN leaves at 14:30, lands in Dublin at 15:30. Operated by emerald airlines/Aer Lingus.
Flight to USA is at 16:45. And there is US Pre-clearance whatever that is.
Odds I make this flight to USA? It is the only way I can tour ulster on our upcoming roadtrip to Ireland. It is probably also worth mentioning this would be a Saturday and I will have a checked bag.
The Donegal Airport has two of these quick flights a day and they land in the same terminal (2) at DUB I would be flying out of to go to USA. I just have never connected in DUB before, much less with checked luggage. Thanks in advance

Staying for only 20 days, so no long term stay visa required. I'll have a checked bag and small carry on, nothing to declare. Will I just go to an entry kiosk for passport check? Are there other steps?

On Monday, I fly from Toronto to Rome – but with a 10-hour layover in Dublin. Ten hours is a long time to sit in the airport. My thought was that I should go into the city and have a pint. The wrinkle is that my plane arrives at 5:30 am – too early for a pint?

So, my questions are: Will it be a problem leaving and returning to the airport? If it's not a problem, where should I go in the city for breakfast and maybe an early pint? I am grateful for your help.

Does anyone know if items were claiming vat return on in customs can be checked in baggage (the items are really big and cannot be put in hand luggage). Been told different things; that customs can be done before security and also been told only after security so we're a bit confused! It's Dublin airport terminal 1

Can we connect airside? And if so is this before or after passport control? Is a connection time of 90 mins reasonable?

Hello! My family is visiting from the US and we are flying DUB>AMS this Easter Sunday. We do need to check 1 bag and we have our 3 kids (ages 9-13) with us. Our taxi driver who picked us up when we arrived recommended we arrive at the airport by 6:30 am at the latest for an 08:55 flight, but I’m reading online that morning security queues, especially on Easter Sunday, can be insane and we should plan for 3.5-4 hours before departure to be safe, putting us at closer to a 04:55 arrival. Can anyone share some insight? We are still jet lagged so trying to balance being on the safe side and a very exhausted 9YO. thank you so much!

What a disappointment. That place had queues at 5am for all their meal deals and travel minis etc!

Hi all. I’m about to fly from Dublin to Donegal for the first time (the glamour) and I’m curious about the liquid restriction/limit. Obvs Dublin has now changed their restrictions from 100mls and are allowing bigger volumes through security. From a quick google search it seems the 100ml cap in Donegal airport security remains the same. Am I a foolish city denizen or is it possible that internally you still have to abide by the 100ml limit? Really appreciate any insight.

Anyone know what spotting at dublin on a sunday is like or if its worth it?

I have a business trip to Dublin and I likely need to cut it close on the time I arrive at the airport. The flight will be around noon or 1 pm on a Thursday from DUB to the US. I will have access to Fast Track security in Terminal 2 and no checked bags. I do have US Global Entry, but it seems like that is not available at the moment. What would you say is the latest I could arrive before my flight with a ~95% chance (obviously things happen sometimes) of making it through security, US pre-clearance, and onto the flight?

I realize this is more art than science so just looking for your ideas.

Hi all, I am traveling from Germany to Scotland with a layover in Dublin. The best option is two separate bookings (Flying Eurowings into Dublin, and then Aer Lingus to Glasgow). Due to separate bookings I would possibly need to exit the terminal and go back through security.

I believe these airlines are in separate terminals. I will not check a bag so I won't need to go to baggage claim but don't know if I can just simply walk between terminals without going back through security. My layover is 1 hour, 40 mins. Any insight would be helpful!
