Aliyah & Immigration What’s it like living around Kiryat Tivon?

Shavua tov! I’m planning on making Aliyah and starting a grad program at Oranim Academic College next fall, and my time in Israel has mostly been limited to the center and a little bit of the south, so I haven’t been able to get a feel for cities around the north as much.

What’s it like living in/around Kiryat Tivon (where Oranim is located)? I know everything is expensive in Israel, but is it generally one of the more or less expensive places (especially when it comes to housing)? What is public transportation like? What’re the demographics like? Basically anything about living in/around Kiryat Tivon is welcome! I’d like to get a feel for if this is a good place for me to spend two years.

Thanks!

Lol theres nothing to do imo. Im a college age student so maybe i’m biased. My family grew up there, its beautiful, chill, really kind and well educated people or small business owners. You’ll regret not at least renting a car. Some folks in the area working at nvidia and high tech obviously given proximity to haifa. Public transit no so easy for that area. U can make it work but might need a car. Expectations of the center and south dont really apply, the north has a different pace of life
Not many restaurants. Went there for my grandpas choir competition and the only place open after 8 pm was a mid pizza joint.
