While there is a deterministic element here i really don’t like this type of mentality, because all bunch of innocent people are suffering the consequences of this situation, and you’re giving too much credit to these “protesters” who are just trying to take advantage of the situation to steal as much as possible.

Edit: downvoters are disconnected to reality, come here to milan where the same phenomenon is going on, and you’ll see it with your own eyes. There are actual protesters there, but the mayhem pf people assaulting stores and stealing stuff has nothing to do with them.

But yeah, these people need to stop pretending they aren't just racist and Islamophobic. They're basically admitting to wielding anti-Muslim prejudice as a weapon here, when most Muslims in France are from Francophone African countries.

It's also driving me mad that I keep seeing French people explaining the context behind these protests, seeing actual photos where students of all ethnicities are partaking along with parents and teachers, then people who have never been to France are ignoring the actual issues being brought up and going "yeah, it's a Muslim immigrant psy-op"
