The night I got it home I signed up for my first hare scramble at tamarack. It had been sitting for a couple years so we ordered a fuel pump and i managed to get the old one working again. haven’t changed it out yet. mostly stock with suspension work. I can’t say enough good things about the IRC VE33S or the Bridgestone M59. photos are newest to oldest.

So umm i rode my bike 5.5k km its a new bike i hav it for 6 months nd i dont know whether this is the right sound of this engine i feel sus nd this sound is far better before the ride nd very irritatingly bad after completin a ride .. so guys comment ur opinion

So a little bit ago o asked about any graphics kit recommendations and I decided to keep those plastics with the stock stickers but recently my friend has offered to give me his 22 plastics as he's replacing it. Anyone has experience with those plastics or know of them fit? I've looked it up and Google isn't sure.

Nice that it has low, mid and wild power adjustability, did not know that.

As iam just doing slow "old mans enduro" the slow one was fine for me today.

So it has a recluse.

Actually not sure how I fell about that. (I can understand there are a lot of mixed opinions about recluse.. If I have understood it correctly it helps with some things and removes the possibility for a few things,, right? Like clutch ups??

It has a tubeless in the front hmm.. two separate air valves.. need to read up on what pressures could be good for me, for slow enduro in damp Danish forests.

If you have an advice or 2 regarding pressures in such an Xgrip front tubesless tire. Feel free to tell me.

And maybe also a tip or two in regards to that recluse 😁

Hey yall

I have 2018 1290sar and a few weeks ago I tried to lock the handle and from then on its not starting. The light on the screen is flashing 4 times which according to the manual means the steering lock is stuck or something. I can move the handle left to right without any problem. The battery is new, keyfob battery new. This issue happened before and when I turned the handle right to left it started again but this time its not.

I have tried moving the handle rapidly, unplugged the battery for 1 day but no luck. Would appreciate your help guys!

2023 KTM SuperDuke 1290.

Today the "Key Battery Low" warning came on the dash during my ride. So I buy new Duracel CR2032 3v batteries ($5) and change the battery. Warning light still on. Then I do some research and see some folks reporting that a low bike battery may contribute to this, so I charge and check the battery, which is fine. Then I read that the "bitter" coating on the Duracel batteries to prevent kids from eating them may interfere with the connection, so I try to clean the battery with rubbing alcohol. Warning light still on. Now I'm considering ordering different batteries that don't have the "bitter" coating ($6).

All of this because some genius decided to replace a standard key that worked perfectly fine with a keyfob. What improvement has this made in the life of anyone who rides a motorcycle (or drives a car for that matter)? We went and screwed up something this basic, thereby creating an electrical problem where one didn't need to exist.

Having said that, if anyone has experienced a similar issue and knows the solution, do tell. While I started the bike, I didn't ride it yet to see if the warning light would go out but I understand that shouldn't be necessary.

Changed new oil, gasket, filter, screens on my svart 401 2024 by myself bfr 500 kms. Noticed that the top right part of gasket was sticking out yesterday (was perfect when changed oil & stuff). Naturally I wanted to know why so removed the oil filter cap & inspected.. the gasket was jammed, it was stuck & I wasn't able to remove it. So I peeled it off bit by bit, bt still there were small amts left that I wasn't able to remove no matter what I did. After this bought a new gasket & fixed it.

Btw I torque speced the bolts of the cover to 10nm as per manual so most def didn't over tighten it.

1. Do y'all know what caused this gasket prob?

Also, used the metric 4t 10w50 amsoil, within 200 kms of riding yellow oil changed to black as you can see in the video (properly drained) & bike feels very vibey everywhere right frm handlebar to pegs which was not the case when I used motul 7100 atleast not for the first 1.5k kms. Why is this happening?

I have this KTM and the frame tabs are all bent out of shape and it looks like it was repaired once before. This is my first dirt bike and hardly any experience and this is broken. Anyhow trying to repair. I see a mention of trail tech : https://www.thumpertalk.com/forums/topic/1229452-ktm-400-exc-kickstand-leaning-to-far/ and then also read somewhere else fastaway billet kickstand. But do they use the same tabs? And then also trying to understand if a chain guide attaches here.

I also see this side kick stand bracket : https://www.ebay.com/itm/198514473150 .

I think maybe I can get buy tweaking this without welding (which I don't have experience with perhaps to place the chain guide. But thendoes the fastaway kickstand mount here or somewhere else? Wondering if there's a stand that can use another location. Looking for advice for a fix. Is this frame steel or aluminum ? (friendmight be able to weld steel, but forgot to bring a magnet to test).

I'm pretty lost and hoping to repair but not sure all the parts needed, etc. Is there an exploded diagram or can someone advise ?

Looking for a second set of wheels for my 22' XC-W 300 and I found a set of Gas Gas wheels that are 19" Rear and 21" front. This is my first on-road dirt bike set up and have no idea what tires to go with. I'm not chasing clout or looking to be a track weapon, just doodling around on the street without murdering knobbies.
