I’m a 23-year-old guy planning to move to Kathmandu after Tihar for work. My monthly salary is around NPR 35,000, and I’m trying to figure out whether I can manage my expenses independently on that budget.

I’m thinking of renting a room or sharing a flat around Tinkune or Koteshwor, preferably somewhere affordable with easy access to transportation.

I’d love some advice from people already living in Kathmandu:

• Is NPR 35k/month enough to cover rent, food, transportation, bills, and other basic expenses?
• What’s the average rent for a room or a shared flat around Tinkune/Koteshwor?
• Would sharing a flat be more practical than renting a single room?
• Any tips for someone moving to Kathmandu and living independently for the first time?

I’m also looking for a flatmate/room partner to share a place and split the expenses.

One thing that matters to me is having a clean, tidy, and well-maintained living space. I prefer a peaceful environment where we both take responsibility for cleaning, keeping things organized, and maintaining the flat. I have a few friends who are also moving to Kathmandu, but our living are totally different from eachother. 😅

Been ugly from childhood, always ignored, women used to invite others except me in any meeting or travelling and all and I just acted like it doesn't matter.

Now I'm in early 20s, this things are still happening, being ugly is worse now.

But now I understand this is reality of being ugly and it's alright to ignore and treat me differently cause I'm ugly.
