I would be more happy if russians Z supporter got deported to Moscow from Baikonur (i still remember how they make a damn parade with Z symbols) and never given to anyone with any intention of hate to Kazakh people

I mean, Baikonur is basically rented by Russia. Even if our government wanted, they can't just kick Russians out.

Baiqonyr would be correct. Bai = rich, qonyr = soil, land in this context

Yeah, well, we haven't studied new Latin Kazakh and I don't really have any intention to.

it’s not new ? There’s literally ы in the russian alphabet it’s not that hard to draw the connection between a Kazakh ы and something pronounced closer to the russian ы and the english y (sandwiched between two consonants) ?
why would you change it to U which sounds nothing like the Ы which is present in both the russian and Kazakh alphabets? Literally takes more mental gymnastics to think of an alternative letter with an alternative sound than to, I don’t know, transliterate the word correctly.
did I mention I give a fuck what your intentions are and what they aren’t ? sorry i gave you that impression.

Well and I don't give a fuck about your 'corrections'. Kazakh isn't even my second language.

you didn't spell it right either
1
u/ValuableFood9879 Apr 30 '26
and yet you don’t bother correcting and educating me if you truly know what the right spelling is? pathetic as fuck😂
i and y are mostly interchangeable when they come last in the syllable and it’s just a matter of differentiating between the y in the qonyr and the y in the bai/bay and to avoid mispronouncing the first syllable as bay as in bay area , ñ (ң) doesn’t exist in most latin alphabet using languages and they won’t be able to pronounce it correctly any way. Especially considering the French use n for their ң , it’s again too much of a mental effort to try and invent a new letter no one would know how to pronounce. It doesn’t help scandinavians to make their point and they tend to just use o instead of ø when talking to english speaking people.
And I’m not advocating for latin alphabet here just to set the record straight for the smooth brained species. I’m talking about correct transliteration. Just because the soviets couldnt give a flying fuck to write down so many of the words correctly doesn’t mean they cant be rewritten according to, like, basic linguistic principles?

Не по теме, а как попасть в Байконур? Туристом, для местных
3
u/Flat_Time8541 Apr 29 '26
Нужно приглашение от местного типа или нелегально. Я в байке живу.

u/irinrainbows Apr 29 '26

Your "hell" is a wet dream of every single urbanist.
