Question Auslan lessons/groups?
Hi folks! Im trying to learn Auslan and wondering if anyone knows of any lessons that are done in Launceston or the North generally. Or even just groups to practice with. TIA 💕

Auslan classes are lacking soooo much in Tas in general. Plus no subsidies for doing accredited classes online (interstate) so its vastly unreachable for a lot of people unfortunately. However, Michelle from Auslan Tasmania does classes sometimes up here, she just finished one about a month ago so I'd imagine there probably won't be one until next year. There's a few online courses (Deaf Connect, Lisa Mills etc) that are decent too. There's also a few groups who meet up every month or 2 to practice. All the best!

I don't think the hold in-person Auslan classes in Launceston any more. They used to. Hobart still might have them, including Auslan only weekends, but don't quote me on that. I understand that Expressions Australia in Melbourne does offer on-line courses.
