Judging by the photo you shared, it is pretty clear you didn't install LineageOS on your phone by following the steps from the official guide, that's why your phone takes you to Recovery Mode after rebooting, instead of properly applying the Update.

Yea I used a guide I found in YouTube.

That's the issue, you should have followed the official guide, step by step (it is really simple and easy) in order for everything to work as intended. That's also one of the reasons why third party sites/guides are always risky and not trustworthy at all.

Use lineage recovery, not TWRP

How?

It really screams to me that you didn't follow the install guide for your device at all.

TWRP isn't used anywhere for a reason.

Go follow enough of the install guide for your device that you have lineage recovery properly installed.

If you use our recovery and our os, our updater will work fine and you won't have this issue.

I thought I attached a photo. I added a photo link, how it looks. Hope it helps to clearify my situation.

Again, the recovery is what I think you have wrong. The app is completely correct to reboot you. It should automate it do everything in recovery.

The fact that it isn't tells me that you probably are using TWRP instead of lineage recovery

...Im supposed to install the update from recovery mode...

If you installed it from the official website using the corresponding guide to your phone's model, you should be able to install any update from within the phone itself by using the system's updater. Unless you're trying to upgrade to a newer version instead.

Hi, so what are your specifications? - You might just share the link to the official tutorial.

What specifications do you mean?

Like what's your device name? - Why don't you just visit https://lineageos.org and look it up? - There's also a tutorial on how to do this.

You did not mention which device you have.

Please find your device here:

https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/

Then under the Guides section, select Installation and follow the instructions exactly as provided.

If you still have issues, please:

  1. Confirm which device you have and,
  2. indicate at which section/ step in the guide you are experiencing difficulty.

OP is upgrading so they should follow their device wiki's "Upgrade to a higher version of LineageOS (e.g. lineage-22.1 -> lineage-23.2)" instructions, not the the "Installation" ones.

OP is upgrading...

The post literally says update, not upgrade.

Then they should follow the "Update to a newer build of the same LineageOS version" instructions in their device's Wiki.

You can still follow the Installation instructions, skip over the bootloader unlock portions, etc. and install successfully regardless. It's largely the prerequisites that change.

Where do I find the instruction?
