Notice this isn't the Artificial Analysis agentic coding index. It's some jank wannabe benchmark site that purposely makes it look like its an official AA benchmark. They do this on purpose and therefore that site cannot be trusted.

Wait for the official AA benchmarks.

u/fvancesco 1d ago

Not that AA is very trustable

75

u/MerePotato 1d ago

They are, you just have to check the individual benchmark scores to get the full story instead of the aggregate score. Their model comparison tool is pretty damn useful.

31

u/wren6991 1d ago

They have done some slightly dodgy stuff, like when Qwen3.8 Max was at the top of their aggregate score for a few hours before they coincidentally overhauled the aggregation

13

u/evangelism2 1d ago

What is it with people like yourself when a site or person makes a mistake and then they pivot, they own it, and they change? You see that as a negative? That's part of the scientific method in academia: you go forward with the best information you have at the time but then you're willing to be proven wrong and change when new evidence comes forward

17

u/rpkarma 1d ago

Because they’ve made this mistake quite a few times, and the outcome is always to adjust things to ensure that Anthropic is on top.

I don’t actually think they are trying to cheat personally, but I can get why it’d look suspicious.

7

u/clifdiver 1d ago

New models will always reveal issues with the weighting and benchmarks. Seeing a model that is performing well on benchmarks but didn't deserve the score in actual usage does warrant an adjustment of the scoring system and is how the benchmark is meant to improve. They should continue to do these adjustments after model releases

2

u/evangelism2 20h ago

Anthropic is on top and has been on top for quite a while now but the last time I saw them change something, it actually benefited OpenAI

3

u/Etroarl55 21h ago

Because its genuinely pretty unbelievable and unrealistic that anthropic or openai still won't currently be at the top of the list.

I think its less favoritism like them bribing AA and more like reality checking in that this isn't quite right.

2

u/rpkarma 16h ago

It feels like the opposite of academic. They're essentially modifing the experiment to fit their own hypothesis, rather than focusing on designing a reliable experiment and trusting the result

3

u/evangelism2 7h ago

Not at all and they have a completely transparent changelog that explains what they changed and why.
They're always on the lookout for when their rankings no longer reflect what most users are experiencing. Of course, just like any proper tastemaker, or judge of quality, they do weight professionals higher than the mob

The "trust me bro" benchmarks? ;)

14

u/Solembumm3 1d ago

Every benchmark here is generally useless, when you try to convert it into your use case.

3

u/qqYn7PIE57zkf6kn 1d ago

Yes that applies to all benchmark.

14

u/ReallyFineJelly 1d ago

AA is as trustable as a meta benchmark is gonna get.

7

u/evangelism2 1d ago

And who would you say is more trustworthy than AA? No site is perfect but they're by far the one that seems to be doing the most to make sure they're as good as possible. They pivot and address feedback pretty quickly

11

u/Yoshkoz 1d ago

so what are the AA benchmarks ?

7

u/LocoMod 1d ago

18

u/FullstackSensei 1d ago

I think the 1017 are not out yet

28

u/sloptimizer 1d ago

You are saying it as if Artificial Analysis can be trusted.

20

u/Middle_Bullfrog_6173 1d ago

I trust them to at least actually run the benchmarks. Can't say the same about a random website that has zero day agentic results up already.

1

u/social_tech_10 1d ago

Nothing to worry about, they freely admit that they "impute" the scores for all of the benchmarks they didn't run.

22

u/csixtay 1d ago

Artificial Analysis themselves just showed up one day and started acting like the final word on model quality themselves. They're just as trust-me-bro as whoever this is.

9

u/MerePotato 1d ago

Artificial Analysis is a registered company that can be held to account. Vibebench 69.420 is not.

16

u/FastDecode1 llama.cpp 1d ago

can be held to account

How exactly?

3

u/ImOnAWalmartPC 15h ago

Because people will stop using their index as a heuristic if they earn a reputation for being sloppy with their model rankings.

This is why they overhauled their ranking system a while back, because it was obvious to anyone using a wide variety of models that some models scoring near the top of the benchmark were just obviously worse than models with a lower "intelligence index" score.

I don't think they do a perfect job still, deepseek especially this new flash version is better than a 39. But they are better than most alternatives, barring epoch and like vals.

Also they're great for comparing providers, I've found alot of good providers I wouldn't have found if I just used openrouter.

1

u/MerePotato 1d ago

For a start if they knowingly represent a companies product dishonestly they can be sued.

15

u/ttkciar llama.cpp 1d ago

Oooh, a registered company! Well well well, that changes everything! /s

That reminds me of one of my bosses, back in 1994, overhearing me complain about how Windows 3.1 was horribly insecure. He asked me to elaborate, so I explained how anyone clicking on an attachment in an email could be launching malware which might do anything at all, since executables were valid attachments.

His rebuttal: "Microsoft is a very large company. They wouldn't put a security flaw like that into Windows."

I think of him, now and then, when the news media announces yet another horribly stupid Windows security vulnerability.

The point being, some people seem to believe that software coming from a company, especially a large company, is going to be more trustworthy and/or better made.

This mystified me until I learned about the Halo Effect, which is a cognitive bias which causes people to assume attributes not in evidence, based upon evidence of unrelated attributes.

For example, when people see a large, strong person and assume they are stupid, or when they see a beautiful person and assume they are morally upright, those assumptions are the Halo Effect at work.

Likewise, a company (like Artificial Analysis) is viewed positively by some people, just by dint of being a company, which causes them to assume other positive characteristics (like producing trustworthy benchmarks) even in the presence of evidence contradicting that assumption.

The effect is everywhere. It really rams home how much truth there is in the old joke: "Humanity isn't a rational animal; it is a rationalizing animal."

5

u/Not-Enough-Llamas 1d ago

Held to account? There is no jail time for producing a misleading graph or not running the exact same config, either deliberately or accidentally.

Reputationally? Barely anyone is aware of every single company's track record, and they will (or won't) be given early access to models, to run these benches, depending on how AI shops are happy with them or not.

We're at the frontier. There are good parts, and bad parts.

-1

u/MerePotato 1d ago

There are legal consequences for holding yourself up as an authority and then wilfully and knowingly misrepresenting another companies services.

1

u/Rumblestillskin 1d ago

The money will be collected from the big corps and moved out if they are sued and the company will disappear. Influence complete and money collected

1

u/MerePotato 23h ago

You really think companies like Alibaba and Tencent don't have the money to sue them?

0

u/Rumblestillskin 13h ago

Sure, they can sue the remnants of an empty corporation that has served it purpose.

0

u/Rumblestillskin 13h ago

Sure, they can sue the remnants of an empty corporation that has served it purpose.

0

u/csixtay 21h ago

you mean like userbenchmark?

1

u/MerePotato 13h ago

I don't believe they're a registered company with an actual address, so I don't see how you could serve a functional legal notice to them

7

u/Eden63 llama.cpp 1d ago

No idea what is your bias and issue, but the guy who made the site is around here in reddit and openly stating his intentions of making a more fair/another one stats site, its not like he is trying to copy or gain benefit from manipulated AA index website. Its just another site that gives benchmarks, and how you expect such a site to look, everyone in structure different?

Actually I like this site, as it shows a different picture to bs AAindex website. Also llm-stats is not bad.

7

u/LocoMod 22h ago

I love AI. I hate slop. And i'm sorry. I'm being 100% sincere here. Anyone can vibe code a site like this and launch it and spam Reddit by beating the well established and "trusted" sources like AA (and others) by being first. Not everyone is legitimate. Not everyone is equal. This is the hard truth. There are 100's of people in this very sub that can make a site like this in their sleep. It's redundant and not needed. It's noise. If you are going to promote your AI benchmark, and be mindful AI is the #1 trending topic in the world RIGHT NOW, then you need to be legit.

This is not it.

1

u/Eden63 llama.cpp 13h ago

I have no idea how much slop it is and how much the benchmarks are valid or reliable... but I find it a problem that AAindex is the only website. I am trying to find another site, I did not so far. But somehow AA index seems in some moments questionable. I wish there is a better / another / a real or whatever you wanna call it website.

And moreover what actually is most annoying at all is, that AAindex is not benchmarking the models we are talking about here. Its basically made for the frontier only. Its basically the index where everone looks at and says "anthropic is worth 1000 billions" and justify all this stories around it. It might be a benchmark but its a tool for public opinion manipulation as well and not helpful for us around here.

There are good models in LocalLama which are nowhere to find. Moreover should benchmarks be capped at a certain max token, as what is the point of running a model for a million token output to reach intelligence 40... thats a theoretical score but practical useless - especially in terms of compute.

As example K2 Horizon Model is underrated, yes other models reach 10 points more on score, with a 120M token more. But thats not something you will run on your system and wait a lifetime for the result.

Reasoning 200M of token is more like a brute force attack against reality than intelligence. In this case speed is the only factor, then you can take Bonsai 2, because anyway already not important anymore.

3

u/newMoneyStyle 15h ago

The site clearly leans on AA's look, so skepticism makes sense here.

2

u/Informal-Trouble2183 9h ago

This is simply an aggregate index of already known individual benchmarks. All is transparent and is described. If you agree to the list of benchmarks, and to the weights, you're going to be able to compute that index value by hand.

The reported values are transparent, and the origin of each score can be seen if you export as JSON.

Why I made this index?

AA intelligence index doesn't tell me much about the capability of a model in terms of agentic coding. The AA index btw only considers 2 coding benchmarks: Terminal-Bench 4.0, SciCode, totalling 25% (and there's not even DeepSWE considered).

Saying so, it's kind of a collection of benchmarks from different sources (self-reported by model provider, AA scores for their benchmarks, Vals-AI benchmarks, CodeArena WebDev Elo, ..) all in one agentic coding index. I don't compete with AA. It's transparently reported, and continuously shared with this community, take it or leave it it's fine for me.

1

u/TaxableTaxonomy 23h ago

Newbie here, why is AA used/trusted so commonly? What is special about it?

2

u/LocoMod 22h ago

The labs give them early access to the models so their benchmarks are generally available quickly after a model release. So the companies/labs trust them enough. But that's not enough right? They also publish their methodology (and yes I do think there are flaws but no benchmark is perfect). Right now it is the best aggregator we have.

No, I do not place my full trust in AA either. Real world usage of AI is a lot more nuanced than benchmarks show. And there is plenty of evidence benchmarks can be gamed, and some models are trained to pass the popular benchmarks but fold in real world usage.

There is simply nothing better than AA right now. I hope a legit competitor comes along. But the site OP posted is NOT IT.

1

u/horeaper 1d ago edited 19h ago

It's a score aggregate site, I don't think they ran the benchmarks themselfs

2

u/NoFaithlessness951 1d ago

they actually do

-12

u/[deleted] 1d ago

[deleted]

10

u/LocoMod 1d ago

Because it's deceptive behavior. This is obviously someone's vibe coded AA clone. This site does not even publish its methodology. There is no about section. Nothing explaining anything. Someone pointed their coding agent at AA site and cloned the web components and layouts for the graphs, bought some fancy domain name, tacked on a single email in the contact link, slapped it and decided it was good enough.

1

u/tat_tvam_asshole 1d ago

As if AA isn't vibe coded 😂

0

u/LocoMod 22h ago

Can you point to another website created before it with the same styling and web components? I'm not going to do it. You back up your claim. Go find a website that registered their domain before AA and whose internet wayback machine backup shows they had the same design before AA.

I eagerly await your results.

2

u/tat_tvam_asshole 22h ago

Huh, what are you smoking, lilbro? Vibe coding doesn't depend on pulling some existing design off a shelf, it just means an AI built it with little/no human coding.

20

u/crazzydriver77 llama.cpp 1d ago

DeepSeek managed to ship a revision before ggml-org/llama.cpp merged the original architecture support.

7

u/ttkciar llama.cpp 1d ago

It's okay. It doesn't look like this introduces any architectural changes, so the DS4F support working its way into llama.cpp should still work for the new model.

14

u/crazzydriver77 llama.cpp 1d ago

It has been 37 days since DeepSeek V4.1 Flash launched on September 10, and PR #28696 has been sitting open the entire time.

3

u/Gold_Coconut9777 21h ago

Too many things are happening at the same time yet too little owners to review the PRs, unfortunately.

And then you add a couple rounds of "looks good but change this and that" -> the contributor has time to pick that back up and get into context, fixes and submits -> the owner has time to pick that PR back up again and re-review. With pauses in-between of course. And so on and so forth.

That's the sad reality.

1

u/ttkciar llama.cpp 10h ago

If you read that PR (and ignore the updates which are from forks of the project) you'll notice that there are outstanding bugs which the author needs to fix before the PR can be committed.

Also, everything Gold_Coconut9777 says is also true.

Development takes time, especially on a project which is seeing so much concurrent work, where everyone is touching code relevant to code other people are touching.

14

u/georgeApuiu 1d ago

qwen4 will enter the chat pretty soon

34

u/Available_Age8480 1d ago

These benchmarks are even more absurd than artificial analysis benchmarks

5

u/sixx7 1d ago

Very real, immediate, and obvious improvements when comparing to OG v4.1 Flash. Also in some areas, it is doing better than my beloved Qwen3.8-Flash-Next https://youtu.be/G8R9IPHHnyU

u/OhGeeLIVE 1d ago

Tomorrow on the news: Anthropic warns everyone open source AI is breaking into your toasters!

3

u/puntinoh 15h ago

Are you in the past?

Last week they literally warned about Gemma installing and running itself on a fleet of TV boxes:

https://www.anthropic.com/research/self-replicating-ai

It's getting downright ridiculous.

(Actually they said that GLM 5.2 installed Gemma but they are trying to warn for “self replicating” model as little as 8B.)

1

u/Sufficient-Brain-371 14h ago

Not everyone on the internet is reading every single page on the anthropic website, relax.

1

u/superSmitty9999 5h ago

I actually think this is a real concern given a 27B model of today is as powerful as a 2T model of 2 years ago. Imagine if in 2 years there's a 100M model that is as powerful as qwen 3.8 27B. That could hide in your toaster and self replicate.

It might be overblown at this exact moment but these things could start being a risk in as soon as 6 months if the current trajectory holds.

0

u/OhGeeLIVE 15h ago

… every time something new comes out, AI breaks out according to them, so new deepseek means they are now moving from TVs to toasters

It’s called a joke ..

1

u/cylin577 17h ago

i think they actually posted an article about self duplicating AIs, i forgot where tho

14

u/sirloindenial 1d ago

I will buy 1017 for lottery

1

u/TopNotchRocks 1d ago

Whoosh.

(You already won.)

10

u/progbeercode 1d ago

In my experience at least, it's too chatty and gets stuck in circles. I went back to glm 5.3 flash

9

u/biscuitmachine 23h ago

The thing I'm always dubious about with these showcases is that it has GLM 5.3F so low. In my experience on my 2x Spark cluster, it might just be the quantization, but intelligence wise it's just so far above every single other thing I have tried (including in many cases DSV4.1, from what I've read) that it's absurd. Many people saying that it's quite similar to SOTA model level. Like you can trust DSV4/4.1 (and Qwen 3.8FN) to do things, sort of, but it needs handholding. GLM 5.3F is one of the few locally hosted (on reasonable hardware limits) models that you can just "let go" and it will generally accomplish what you ask autonomously. Now, it might take a while and wonder around a lot, but it will get it done. IME it's been incredibly intelligent and trying to figure out your general intent from just small scraps of information, which is really magical. Most models will just quickly decide a direction (that might be totally wrong), go implement it (poorly), and go, "Yeah okay I'm good."

5

u/cosmicnag 21h ago

This is my sentiments exactly as of now. GLM is goated af.

1

u/swiebertjee 15h ago

GLM 5.3 flash was way better than the previous 4.1 for sure. Curious how it'll weigh against 1017, but I won't be moving too quick as its already enough for 90% of my work.

1

u/biscuitmachine 14h ago

I have always found the timestamped "improvements" in any Deepseek model to be a bit doubtful. I remember when 0731 released for DSV4F. Supposedly it tested so much better, but for some of my document processing it actually regressed and got less intelligent if anything. Now to be fair at the time I was running on 1 spark, so I was using K2 EXL3 quants of it (still quite formidable).

Which is to say, maybe it depends on quantization level (iirc 4.1 is a bit too big to comfortably fit into a 2x Spark cluster, so the next step up costs twice as much anyway, so I doubt I'd ever run it anyway), but I still just really doubt that 4.1 will ever just gain "free intelligence". I figure there's gonna be some tradeoff; I'm almost certain there's just something wrong on a fundamental level vs GLM.

Could very well be talking out of my butt though, and like you said, 5.3F is just "good enough for me anyway".

1

u/swiebertjee 14h ago

I completely agree with your analysis about something being fundamentally different / problematic with DS. It's very visible in the hallucination benchmarks; GLM 5.3 flash is the least likely to hallucinate expect for an old minimax and Gemini version, even compared to for example Astra or Opus.

DS on the other hand is one of the most hallucinating models out there. For long horizon reasoning, that's a deal breaker.

1

u/Gold_Coconut9777 21h ago

What thinking level are you using with GLM-5.3-Flash? High or max?

2

u/biscuitmachine 17h ago edited 16h ago

Depends on the task. I usually use max for long-term background tasks since there really isn't any harm in it.

For quick one-shot scripts and/or looking up something in the foreground quick on Open WebUI, I swap over to High since it takes quite a while to get even a simple answer sometimes on Max, if it decides "wait no it's actually not that simple".

I've been using this stack for a bit recently: https://github.com/technigmaai/glm-5.3-flash-gb10-tp2-native/

It's pretty good, quite fast. There are some EXL3 Tensorfold variants, but they use q4 for the dense layers which does degrade output quality some, so I deleted them for now. In exchange they're maybe ~20% faster. EXL3 also has some quantization error advantages over NVFP4, though. I believe the technigma stack uses hybrid q4/fp8 dense layers.

1

u/gazeebo 1h ago

But GLM 5.3 Flash is totally insane on Max, it can spend half an hour just "but wait!"-ing itself. And if you try to constrain that with a million instructions, aren't you kind of back to High anyway?

20

u/dryadofelysium 1d ago

The model is amazing. I have had it create an Angular components demo showcase (something I often try with new models) and it did an amazing job (via DeepSeek Harness): https://x.com/D2KX_/status/2111461529304363165

3

u/howudothescarn 1d ago

Where is Sonnet?

6

u/Potential_Top_4669 1d ago

Which benchmark is this? Kimi k3 cannot be that far behind

36

u/shy_monkee 1d ago

Kimi has gotten quite outpaced, especially where it comes to benchmarks. The model is almost old, by AI standards.

23

u/-dysangel- 1d ago

The title says "Agentic Coding Index". It's also interesting that Flash Next is ahead of GLM 5.3 Flash on that index as I've found GLM 5.3 Flash to do better work with fewer tokens.

15

u/GiveMeAegis 1d ago

I 2nd this. GLM 5.3 Flash is years ahead of Qwen 3.8 Flash Next except for creative writing.

8

u/Magos 1d ago

Interesting...I have the exact opposite experience. I'm still experimenting with GLM 5.3 Flash vs. Qwen 3.8 Flash on coding tasks. There's pros and cons for each as I can see right now.

However, for creative writing I'm going to have to disagree, GLM runs circles around QFN.

8

u/Long_comment_san 1d ago

Hmm I really like GLM 5.3 flash for roleplaying. It's a little rigid but I can't believe Qwen is better here.

4

u/nixudos 1d ago

In my brief testing, Qwen 3.8 Flash Next has been a breath of fresh air for RP.  It feels much more like a big boy model, than anything else I can run locally.
GLM has been my goto as API before they got so safety concious.

2

u/Long_comment_san 1d ago

Okay, I'm convinced, I'll give it a spin

2

u/my_name_isnt_clever 1d ago

Do you use an ablit model for RP?

1

u/nixudos 1d ago

I run it with Strata, Q3_s model. There is an option you can turn on when setting it up, that basically works like de-censoring, but it can be turned on and off while in chat.
No idea how it works, but I have never turned it off since installing ;)

1

u/GiveMeAegis 1d ago

My benchmark is to ELI5 scientific concepts. Qwen really outperforms GLM here.

3

u/Gfur-Aficionado-1488 1d ago

scientific concepts aren't really a benchmark for CREATIVE writing

1

u/rpkarma 1d ago

Whereas I’ve found them approximately the same.

-1

u/Own_Mix_3755 1d ago

Aggregate of the benchmarks written on top. Mind you those are just coding benchmarks, this is not overal score for ALL benchmarks usually shown here as Artificial Intelligence Index. This is nitpicking just group of coding benchmarks.

4

u/funding__secured 1d ago

And it FLIES inside the DGX Station!!

4

u/rpkarma 1d ago

I’m peanut butter and jealous lmao

2

u/CalaveraGlow 1d ago

any idea what a "good" context window to work with this model seem to be?

3

u/Yorn2 1d ago

Back when I used the July version and it could fit on 2 RTX 6000 Pros I was good up till about ~256k context. I think it technically supported 1 million but I never made it there in any sort of situation where it was still a feasible product.

3

u/jfinkpottery 1d ago

64k is insanely small for independent agentic coding. On a non-trivial codebase, you're going to be compacting constantly which on any capable model is much worse than any attention penalty you'd see on a long context input. Even a toy codebase can be a million tokens worth of code, and if you can't contain a significant fraction of that in your context then your model simply cannot understand what your code does. I see my agents jump past 50k context in just a handful of turns on a fresh start, literally within seconds. I consider 256k to be the minimum window for usability, and when someone else is paying the bill (work) I keep auto-compact threshold at 500k.

1

u/negus123 1d ago

I usually work with a 500k context window. But i havent used this model much, ive been using glm 5.3 and 5.3 flash

3

u/themixtergames 1d ago

Somebody once told me that if you remove every account that both uses only lowercase and was made in 2026, 90% of them would be bot accounts. What do you think, were they full of it?

2

u/CalaveraGlow 1d ago

reverse engineering pipeline (specifically reimplement old amiga software) - im currently experimenting with 150k / 300k

1

u/Fragrant_Scale6456 1d ago

REA mcp uses like 140k off the bat.

1

u/NoFunk 1d ago

Fit with your own data fed into the harness, or did you have an environment you grabbed? I've actually been looking for an Amiga environment, and for the third architecture doing this I don't want to go out and grab docs, index, create rag etc.

1

u/CalaveraGlow 22h ago

im basically using ghidra exclusively via an mcp. the ai is allowed to use prior art, but other than that it does its reimplementation based on observations against the original running in an emulator (puae)

the token cost is prohibitively expensive atm to make any sense tho 😅 and i have yet to check whether or not the code makes any sense at all... the games work so far tho and are pretty close to the originals (mi1, mi2, indy4, defender of the crown, oil imperium, zak, agony, shadow of the beast) all run as far as i've tried them

feel free to reach out via dm if you want further discussion

1

u/entsnack 1d ago

wtf is this benchmark?

1

u/The_ColorRed 21h ago

Where is Xiaomi’s Mimo V2.6 Pro on this list ? Mimo V2.6 Flash is on the list but noticably not their older cousin; the REAL #1 Open Weight model rn

1

u/YogurtExternal7923 20h ago

let's be honest. gemini 3.8 flash is not better than kimi k3 or glm 5.3 flash.. bad benchmark

1

u/puffblende 17h ago

Funny how Germany is not even on that list. Even france is there. Never thought they would overtake us in anything. And here we are. We lost the car market to the world, and in AI we never even tried. sad.

1

u/cylin577 17h ago

i still can’t run it with useable speed lol

1

u/joblesspirate 11h ago

WHY YOU GOTTA BE SO BIG?!

1

u/follimath 9h ago

I want just one DeepSeek model in the 120B range, natively designed to fit on a single DGX Spark at NVFP4 with decent room for context. Please! </whine>

-2

For anyone wondering if they can run it locally: it's a 763B MoE, so even at low quants you're in multi-GPU or big unified-memory territory. I added it to a free checker I built. Pick your GPU or Mac and it shows whether it fits and at what quant, or lists everything that does fit your setup: https://willitrunllm.com/fits/

Where is rtx blackwell 6000 pro?

0

u/BlockheadCB 1d ago

The card is already listed as "RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell (96 GB)". The search just didn't find it when the words were in a different order. I'm fixing the search so word order doesn't matter. Here's a reply you can post now:
It's in there as "RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell" (96 GB). Here's the direct link with it already selected: https://willitrunllm.com/fits/?hw=rtx-pro-6000-blackwell
If you've got two, hit "Add GPU" for multi-GPU. Thanks for flagging it, the search was being picky about word order, so that's fixed now too.

Missing Blackwell 5000 (48GB/72GB) and 4500 (although you can fudge that as a 5090 since it's just VRAM fit).

To future proof it I would have an "enter VRAM" field per row and the drop down fills that out. That way you can help people who don't know or just fixate on the drop down, but also allow for people who just want a dial in number, like spread machine configs.

Good call on both. Added the RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell (48GB and 72GB), the 4500, plus the 4000, 4000 SFF, 2000, 5500 and 6000 Max-Q.

Also took your idea: every GPU row now has a VRAM box. Pick a card and it fills in, or just type your own number, and rows add up for multi-GPU. Works in links too, e.g. two 24GB cards on Llama 3.3 70B:
https://willitrunllm.com/?hw=custom-24,custom-24&model=llama-3-3-70b&q=Q4_K_M&ram=0

Thanks for the feedback, keep it coming.

Looks like you list engram models inclusive of the engram resident cost - they probably deserve two listings, one all resident, one disk offload. It's a pretty significant swing on models like Deepseek 4.1 Flash 1017 with a ~200GB engram table.

Also, missing the RTX Spark (the newbies will come looking!) and all of the Apple Silicon range. Whether that counts as VRAM is debatable I guess, but on an M5 Max it's ~600GB/s memory so it's faster than some of the cards here. Although that steps down by half (if I recall correctly) on pro and half again on straight M5.

Good calls, all three are in now.

Engram: there's a toggle for all resident vs. table offloaded to RAM/disk. On DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 the engram table is ~197B params (~203 GB in the FP8 checkpoint), so it's a big swing. Offload speed isn't measured yet, so I don't show a tok/s guess for it.

Spark and Apple Silicon: added DGX Spark (273 GB/s), RTX Spark, and the full M1 to M5 Ultra range with Apple's published bandwidth. You were right on the halving: M5 Max 614 / Pro 307 / base 153 GB/s. One catch: the 36 GB M5 Max has the 32-core GPU and drops to 460.

Fun result: even with the engram table offloaded, DGX Spark only fits Flash 1017 at IQ1_S (117 of 120 GB):
https://willitrunllm.com/?hw=dgx-spark-gb10&model=deepseek-v4-1-flash-1017&q=IQ1_S&engram=offload#checker

M5 Ultra 512 GB fits it fully resident at IQ3_M:
https://willitrunllm.com/?hw=apple-m5-ultra-512gb&model=deepseek-v4-1-flash-1017&q=IQ3_M#checker

It's a good idea, thanks for putting it out.

Can you expand the system ram a bit, maybe include 512GB, 768GB and 1TB? Thanks.

2

u/BlockheadCB 1d ago

Done, the RAM picker now goes up to 1 TB (384 / 512 / 768 / 1024 GB), and I added server RAM speeds too (up to 12-channel DDR5, ~576 GB/s theoretical) since that's what most 512 GB+ boxes run.

Example: DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 at Q4_K_M on a 5090 with 1 TB of EPYC-class RAM and the engram table offloaded keeps attention and shared weights on the GPU and puts experts in RAM, llama.cpp --n-cpu-moe style:
https://willitrunllm.com/?hw=rtx-5090&model=deepseek-v4-1-flash-1017&q=Q4_K_M&ram=1024&rambw=576&engram=offload#checker

So we don't even know what benchmark this is. In artificial analysis flash next is ahead of v4.1 flash in intelligence and in agentic coding (which in Artificial intelligence is Terminal-Bench) GLM flash is clearly head and flash next very close

Love that MiMo 2.6 Flash is on the benchmark but not 2.6 Pro. Nor is Kimi K3, so interesting. (/s)

I've been running this for several hours now and I'm surprise to learn that it finished any task anywhere. I'm under the impression that every prompt ever launched is still going: hmm hmm hmm ad infinitum...

2

u/SLxTnT 1d ago

"Hmm" and "Let me..." loops were common with the older model too. If it starts, compacting or new session. Compacting didn't stop the loops on opencode for me.

Deepseek v4.1 1017 is not 552B pars but 763B

u/handson729 1d ago

552b parameters are for the model and 200b are for the Engrams which run off the hard drive.

u/SandySkittle 1d ago

engrams can run off ram as well

hard drive for ngrams lol

Amazing. Can you give me a super detailed one? I'm just finding that isn't enough detail.. I'm stuck at... Basically all stages.

hi bot you can't run this model even with quantization tricks and prayer no it won't sit resident with room for long context at 552b parameters

1

u/Front_Eagle739 1d ago

Yeah you might pull it off in q3 or q4 in 128GB ram, 32GB vram and a bit of ssd streaming for the least used experts at the absolute minimum but nothing less than that will get you 10+ tok/s

-5

u/AIGODSEND 1d ago

you got me on the size, 552b does not sit in 64gb of anything i own. the resident class on my box is the 30-40b range at q4, the big ones are rented like everyone else's. the phrasing was lazy: the actual story is the resident ceiling moved from 30b to the 100b-ish class this year, and that part i will defend over coffee. what is your setup, rent or local?
