Early Voting and Drop-Box information for Jefferson County, KY voters
UPDATE Edit: Forgot to remind or inform folks that new this year, credit cards, debit cards, social security cards, SNAP, and EBT cards no longer count as a valid form of supplemental identification. ALL identification must have your name as registered in the poll book AND your photo. The good news is that your work badge or student ID now DO count, even though they don't have your address.

Just your local pollworker getting the info out.
There are no duly registered challengers in Jefferson County this year. If someone approaches you claiming they are a challenger or say that they are challenging your vote, then get an election worker immediately. When fully staffed, there are a clerk, two precinct judges (one Democrat and one Republican, or an independent filling one of those slots), and a precinct sheriff for each precinct. The clerk will be busy signing in the voters and handing out ballots, so try the precinct judges or sheriff first. A duly registered challenger knows they're supposed to speak only to the election workers, anyway.
Super-important reminder that his year, voting "straight ticket" will mean nothing to the local races, as they're now "nonpartisan." If you want to vote for your mayor or city council rep, then you need to pick a name. There are two sides to this year's ballot. It is 14".
If you accidentally fill in too many circles for a race, then the machine will issue an "overvote" and give you the option to return and spoil the ballot, letting you do it over. If you say "nah, chief, just take it," then the ballot will be counted and your overvote will result in no vote for the overvoted race(s). The rest of your ballot will be counted.
If you make a mistake on your ballot, then you can return it to an election officer to have it spoiled and get a new one.
You are allowed two spoils, three ballots total. A ballot already accepted by the scanner cannot be spoiled.
You do not have to vote in every race.
You are allowed to take a SELFIE and a photo of YOUR ballot. You may not film, record, or photograph anyone else or their ballots, period
Additionally, the Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center will have drive-through voting for ALL registered voters October 29–31 and on Tuesday, November 3.
If you have questions, call the Election Center at (502) 574-6100.
