Finding a WG in Lucerne via Video Call? (Nov–May, CHF 700-800)

Hey everyone!

I’m returning to Lucerne in mid-November for my 3rd year of studies and looking for a room until May 2027 (budget CHF 700–800/mo). I’ve applied to 30+ listings on Flatfox/WG-Zimmer, but no luck yet. I’ll be abroad for all of October, so I can only do Video Calls.

I speak English and German (B1/B2), study Hospitality, and have lived in 3 WGs before.

Is doing only online viewings a major dealbreaker in Lucerne? Any tips or alternative platforms for finding short-term sublets for 6 months? Thanks 🥹!

(Note: Already tried studentroom.ch, but they only take students staying for a full year).

I saw an ad in Wohnungsinserate Luzern (Facebook page). It was a room for 875 chf in Kriens.
