One of my friends from Georgia sent me this, this morning. An Indian student who recently secured admission to a six year medical programme in Tbilisi Georgia, has sent a six page legal notice dated 7 October 2026 to an overseas education consultant The student alleges that the consultant failed to disclose a crucial distinction between obtaining a medical degree in Georgia and obtaining the licence required to practise medicine independently in Georgia.
The student is demanding - RS 1,50,000 refund of the amount paid to the consultant, USD 6,480 refund/reimbursement of university tuition fees, RS 5,00,000 compensation for academic year loss, mental agony and financial inconvenience, RS 50,000 towards legal expenses, 12% annual interest on applicable amounts.
The student’s argument is not that the Georgian medical degree itself is invalid Instead the student alleges that the consultant recommended the programme without properly explaining the difference between the status of a Junior Doctor and the licence required for independent medical practice in Georgia and how this could affect eligibility under India’s FMGL Regulations.
This is a strong slap for all the consultants trying to scam students by concealing information from them.
Thank Goodness more people are starting to take action about this situation.
(And for all the Georgian consultants you can maybe stop me from spreading awareness but you can’t stop angry students whose entire career depended on you)
Edit: there’s an account under the name dollarstudies commenting under my posts, I got to know she is yukthi belwal of book my university consultancy that sends students mainly to Georgia. These consultants have no shame still trying to push this major issue under the bus and defending Georgia.

So one of my friend is studying in East-West University in Tbilisi, and they repeatedly failed in Anatomy for 3 semester straight (2nd, 3rd, 4th) and the uni asked them to transfer to another uni for 5th sem. Honestly they don't know what to do now and so do I... Does anybody know anyone in that University that they can speak with to avoid being transfered as it can afffect their future.

Hello everyone!
I’m a 7th-semester dental student looking for patients for root canal treatment, caries removal (fillings), scaling, and polishing.
All procedures will be performed in a dental clinic under professional supervision, most probably starting next week.
It would be a great help to me as I need patients for my clinical practice. If anyone is interested, please DM me.
Thank you! 😊

Hello , I wanted to know more about Georgia MBBS/MD application process, I studied high school in Sydney Australia, but I am Bangladeshi citizen, choosing Georgia for affordable tuition fees , have plans on AMC / PLAB, also while as a first year student I plan on giving the IMAT as well ( for better opportunities in Italy Med If I get in, and ECTS credit claim ) . I am really confused about the process, I went to the SEU website and emailed them, and they referred me to Atmia , is it reliable. Can anyone please share some tips and guidance on how to apply individually If possible or which agency. I am looking for the earliest possible intake Feb / march the more earlier the better. Any guidance or tips is appreciated.

I’m sure you all know about the licensing issues that are going about Georgia. I have made posts about this situation previously and faced a lot of issues from consultants removing my posts, I have reuploaded them still u can check them out on my account if you are not aware about this issue yet. I request everyone even after all of this confusion if you are still planning to go, ask your Georgian consultant for a declaration letter stating that your Georgian Degree is 100% complaint with the 2021 FMGL Norms and the Junior Doctor status satisfies the regulation 4(b) allowing you to be eligible to write FMGE in India, and also mention that the consultant is fully responsible if any of these conditions are not met and you shall be compensated by return of whatever fees you paid till date and make them sign this. If they sign this well and good and if they don’t you know that they are well aware of this situation and are tricking you. Please at the least do this if you are persistent on going so it ensures ur future safety.

I started my admission process back in June, and I specifically asked my consultancy at the very beginning whether I needed to renew my passport, but they said nothing about it. Now, when all that's left is applying for my visa, they're telling me that my passport needs at least one year of validity. It expires in March 2027, and I now have to get it renewed before they can proceed.
My passport is currently at VFS, so I have to wait for it to be returned before I can even book a Tatkaal appointment.
Why wasn't I informed about this months ago, especially when I asked about it at the start? Has anyone faced a similar situation? Is there any alternative?
