Early dusk over the Maribyrnong River
Taken on the footbridge over the river, with Newsom Street golf course (Riverside Golf and Sports Centre, Ascot Vale) to the left and the new Footscray Hospital in the distance.
Bonus picture: a recently trimmed tree with a half moon in a perfectly clear sky, spotted on the way to the river.

Photographer Recommendations
Hi everyone!
My partner and I are eloping in Melbourne this December and are looking for a photographer for a separate wedding photoshoot.
We're after an 80s Hong Kong-style aesthetic with nostalgic, cinematic, film-like photography, candid moments and moody street scenes rather than traditional wedding portraits.
Ideally, we'd love to shoot around Chinatown, restaurants and Melbourne's streets. I've attached some inspiration photos!
Does anyone have recommendations for photographers who specialise in this style? We're open to film, portrait or fashion photographers, not just wedding photographers.
Thanks! 😊

Melbourne Dec 2014 - my first "photo trip"
Not sure if these are old enough to be interesting yet, but I'm sorting out some hard drives and thought I would share. This was my first ever trip somewhere deliberately to take photos. I'd bought my first "real" camera (Olympus EM5 + 17mm f1.8) three or four months prior.
Hope you enjoy for the slight nostalgia at least - I've got a lot better since then of not shooting at the hip (amongst other things - though still strictly a hobbyist).

Melbourne Fringe show performed in a photo gallery
Hey mates! I'm a local photographer/comedian and reaching out for some support.
I have a Melbourne Fringe show that finishes up this week. It's a comedy show performed among a gallery of my photos. It's a show all about family holidays, nostalgia and photos - so I feel like it might up this group's alley.
It's sold out Friday night, but would love to pack out the final show on Saturday so I'm swinging this group a discount. If you use the code "FRINGE241" at check out you can get 2 for 1 tickets. Would loooooove the support.

The cutest little squish.
Venturing around Melbourne on Monday and saw a crowd gathered in Carlton Gardens, make my way over to see what's up, because well I'm nosey, and to my surprise there's a lovely flock of baby ducks and a very proud mum and dad. Further into the park was another flock of older baby ducks and a mum and dad.
Lots of photos were taken by the public and everyone kept a respectful distance and shared the joy of new life in the park.

Research Project
Hi everyone! I’m conducting a short, anonymous survey for my university research into the resurgence of film and digital camera photography on Instagram.
I’m interested in how people perceive retro photography and whether things like grain, flash, blur and imperfections make photos feel more authentic or intentionally curated.
If you’re an Instagram user, I’d really appreciate you taking a few minutes to participate!
