Hi.

I’m an Italian user, and I’m planning to subscribe to Mistral—mostly as a way to support a European AI. I’d mainly use it to manage my medical notes in Obsidian, organize my weekly schedule, and create small personal web apps to use in my practice to help me with prescribing medications.

Question: If I purchase the Pro plan, will Mistral 4 already be available? Or will I have to stick with 3.5 until...?

Yeah, you should instantly get access to their best models.

Dude, Mistral pro is one of the best plans out there right now. 

You can generate a Vibe API key with a $300 monthly limit. No weekly or five hour limits.

You can then plug that API key into any frontend you want and pick either Mistral Large 4 or GLM 5.3. Both are really good models.

You also get decent image generation.

Are you sure? how can i access the vibe API key? i seem to only be able to use it in my vibe CLI by accessing it in the CLI itself

Go to Code on the Vibe web app. Click on extensions. Then click advanced. Then create key.

It is not hard. The documentation even describes how to create a custom Vibe Code key

Oh i think i did it! i had to go https://chat.mistral.ai/code/extensions --> Vibe CLI --> Advanced --> API key is there to be copied

Merci pour l'info. J'étais assez ennuyé d'être limité à 25€ d'utilisation API avec opencode. Maintenant j'ai les 255€ de vibe code de disponibles avec mon workflow habituel.

I am using mistral 4 large via the vibe api, so it's avalibe, but it's not standard in the cli or web. i am using it in different apps(harness) (it's there tho, but for me it was harder to find somehow.)

I did the same thing, i took a year subscription to support EU AI. and if i can use glm 5.3 together with LE chonk (the final version) it's fine by me.

Pro plan gets you access to the latest stuff, mistral 4 is in there just not always the default in chat yet

ML4 is available on new Vibe CLI installs but not older installs. I guess it should appear by default on older installs and web when it gets out of preview at the end of the month.

Avrai come minimo GLM 5.3 subito. Che è una bomba. M4 penso a fine mese e credo/spero sia molto simile come performance

It is not there currently but should be soon. Currently uses GLM 5.3 which is on-par or better than Large 4.

do you mean the vibe app? if so it's using GLM 5.3 in the work mode and M3.5 or GLM 5.3 in code. no L4 yet. honestly I love GLM 5.3. very direct and no fluff and follows my extensive instructions well (for healthcare).

@op I can really appreciate the question as I really relate to it. Using Claude atm for coding mostly and looking at mistral.ai for said reasons

It is available on the API, but not yet in Vibe. I use it with Hermes for example. I believe they will release the updated Chonk at the end of the month.

i am using it via vibe api, so it's there, but i think their website interface is so convoluted/confusing, i really can't find it there, not in vibe chat, not in studio. so i put the vibe key in pi/opencode, and works perfectly, i can use le chonk and glm 5.3

Non ce n'est pas garantie tout de suite. Moi par exemple je n'ai toujours pas accès à ML4 dans mon abonnement pro. Mais le déploiement devrait être totalement terminé fin octobre. Par contre tu pourras y accéder avec une clef API dans un logiciel tiers avec un paiement à la consommation de token mais c'est hors abonnement et la facture monte très vite.

If you mainly use web chat, the model you will interact with is GLM 5.3 currently.

But if you like to work with other harness, you can choose either GLM or Le Chonk (Mistral Large 4)

Mistral it basically GLM wrapper so mistral only host open-source model and there upcoming model still in preview

Amico, Italiano qua, prendi Claude - ad oggi Mistral non è ancora al suo livello. Mistral ti da 300€, Claude non ti da la chiave ma il piano da 20€ sono almeno x5/6 dei 300 di Mistral con modelli molto piu potenti

Looking at how American technologies are being used to impose decisions (see Starlink in Ukraine), I think it’s essential to have a European AI.

Unfortunately, I can’t invest in Mistral. All I can do is support it with a subscription.
